According to Indian mythology also, before starting any ceremony, worshiping, weddings... they blew on conch shell bugles, trumpets, etc. Even in Mahabharata Krishna blew his conch PANCHJANYA to announce beginning of the epic war of Mahabharata. In Ramayan and many other Puranic stories there are references of various different conch shells being played by different people for different purposes. It symbolizes piousness, auspiciousness and is also associated with the sound of sacred syllable "Om" or "Aum", referenced as the first sound of creation.

just amazing dude!, blowing a Conch Shell well is like opening a door into your soul and allows you to commune with unseen beautiful spirits, here in England someone always blows a Conch horn when the first rays of sun first appear at the Stonehenge and Avebury stone circles' mid-summer solstice celebrations ....... LOVE!

But DUDE! It is NOT pronounced C - O - N - S - H ! The word CONCH is correctly pronounced CONK. It's a "K" sound at the end. Rhymes with HONK or GRONK. And furthermore, that is not a Conch shell. The one you are blowing is either a trumpet, triton or syrinx. But you do a great job sounding that shell horn.

And when he wears a brooch, make sure it's said as "broke." Lol
