Got back from my trip. Best flight to Hawaii ever! I think the seat is on par with the Delta One Suite. While DL One is larger, the Leihoku suite has some more features. However, the service on HA is unlike any other in the U.S.

Yeah that’s the s biggest downside to Hawaiian. Not even their 330s which can fly up to 9 hours have WiFi. Although they’ve slowly started rolling out complimentary Starlink WiFi on the A321neo fleet. From what I heard, they’ll work on the A330s next followed by the 787s

The Hawaiian Airlines lounges at HNL have a dentist's office waiting room vibe. I usually avoid them and stay in the Main terminal.

People who complain about Hawaiian airlines food should really think about what other domestic airlines are giving out nowadays. They give a cookie or a pretzel. At least hawaiian gives a sandwich and even free alcoholic drink

It is a shame that the standards for US travel are this low, but even then Hawaii does excel in this area. Economy gets more on this 5 hour flight than I've had on the 6.5hrs transcons on the big 3.

Definitely, the interior design was over the top, from integrating the company colors on the lightning, to the wood & flowers details, make you feel you are flying Hawaiian airlines. Never flown Hawaiian, but now is on my bucket list. Love your videos! 👏🏽

I was on the same flight with you.. Overall, I thought the crew did well. They were there for all of our needs. Hawaiian has some of the most friendly crew and staff in all of our travels. I will say, that the 1-2-1 seating was a bit on the smaller side compared to some of the other airlines we flew on. Air Lufthansa has some of the largest cabin spaces with a lot more leg room. But in all, the customer service was great!

Hawaiian is way too expensive. You'll pay significantly less on other airlines for their first class cabin. In addition the food sucks, so it's a huge letdown.

It’s a step up for Hawaiian Air but that’s not a legit First Class cabin . Clean fresh Business cabin yes but only 2 and some one and a half window spaces is not first class .

I guess they are trying out the plane on the shorter route and work out any bugs before flying to east coast that will be 10 hour flight. So far nothing available for 787 in 2025 to east coast yet.

Hawaiian is the worst airline. They have fallen so far in the last 10 years. The absolute worst customer service, over priced flights and horrible food. Hopefully Alaska airlines cleans house and rebuilds the brand from the ground up! The islands deserve better

It is not, trust me. With their new refurbished cabins and their new IFE, and even with the new 789 edition, it is safe to say that Hawaiian has had a major glow up.

I have to agree whole-heartedly that this cabin is a massive upgrade from their A330's. I've taken one from HNL -> LAX sometime ago and it was great, but this 787 would be a HUGE improvement to their long-haul service. From the moment you stepped on-board, to the cabin walk throughs, and detailed explanations; I had already fallen in love. Hawaiian just know how to do things right. To their hospitality, livery design, comfort, and so much more; there is an easy explanation as to why they are one of my favorite airlines. Here's to more blue skies in HA's future, and I can't wait to try this beautiful aircraft!

beautiful aircraft from outside but let's face it: seats look like business class and so does the meal. Compare first class meal service with international competitors and it's a whole other level. It once again proves, that, unfortunately, American airliners aren't able or willing to serve a true First class product. Or Americans don't want to pay for it, or think 'leather business class seats' are the epitome of luxury and that fancy meals with culinary complexity are over the top. Shame.

Yeah... in the US we have a tendency of calling first class anything that is domestic, except for a few select routes. Which is why a more proper term would be DOMESTIC first class. Although for what is offered on West Coast USA to Hawaii, this is the best you'll find

@@ITripReport yes you have a point it being a domestic route. Though a long one! And if it's the same service on the Honolulu-Boston route, then that's even longer. HAwaian does fly to some internation destinations. Do you think their First Class is more luxurious on those routes? I fear not...would be great if it were though. And let's dream of future Honolulu-London and Honolulu-Hong Kong routes: both One World hubs as Hawaiian is to join One World.

I have not flown HA's 787, but always fly HA whenever I travel to Hawaii. They are truly no ka oi and the aloha spirit shines through. Their FAs all look like they truly love their jobs and their customer service is very accommodating. I look forward to flying their 787 1st Class someday very soon! I know I will be like you - enjoying it so much that I wish the flight was longer. 👍

Great video. Thanks for doing it. You had asked for suggestions. I have one. Keep you liquid drinks away from your computer. Turbulence at the wrong time may cause you to have to replace a soaked keyboard and, perhaps, a fried computer, too.

Not that long ago....that meal would have been considered a coach meal. The domestic airlines are deceiving the American traveling public. This is not a first class meal. Too bad younger travelers don't knows the difference. The airlines are counting on that lack of memory..Its sad.

Hello everyone, great day for Hawaiian Airlines, but with me personally, as a former tour bus driver for a major Tour and Transportation company on Oahu, there is 'no love lost' whatsoever between myself and the Sheraton Waikiki. I have had BAD experience multiple times transporting people to and from the Sheraton Waikiki, mainly with that schmuck at the podium in the bus depot right by the half flight of stairs by the latrines and that leads to the lobby. With Hawaiian Airlines, however, I am so excited for an upcoming trip in August, HNL to LAX on the new 787/9 that I booked in FIRST CLASS, YIPPIE!!!!!

Make sure when you check in if you are in first class, check in with the first class check-in counter as you enter the terminal lobby immediately to your right. The HA personnel are extremely friendly, helpful, and full of aloha!

It's a lovely international lie-flat business class product, the configuration and color palette works wonderfully. I do not understand the "first class" branding though when it is clearly not first class.

It’s a US thing, domestic flights (with the exception of very few “premium routes”) the front cabin will always be sold as first class, while the same seat will be sold as business class on international/premium flights. Yeah it’s quite confusing, and I’m not sure why it’s only the US who does thisb
