Hawaiian Airlines Airbus A321 Neo First Class Flight Trip Report From LAX to KOA

Today we are going to Kona Hawaii on the Big Island and we are flying Hawaiian Airlines, We will be on an Airbus A321 Neo and seated in First Class Seat 1A. I will be in seat 1A which is my favorite. I always booked seat 1A, but I got tired of the overhead bin issue. Now I prefer Row 3.

Well, first off bless Mom. She seems like alot of fun at her young age! My wife and I are flying out of Detroit beginning of May to LAX then to Kona. We're taking the same pond hopper ya'll were on( Comfort + on Delta). Kevin, Mahalo for this video for this ol guy the ropes as far as getting around the airports. This has helped us immensely! Thank you for the nice words! We just took Delta to Seattle a couple months ago and it was great. You will like the A321 neo on Delta. Their comfort+ seats are pretty comfortable! Oh no. I now fly out of Long Beach. So much less headache. Gate is a 5 minute walk. There's very little walking at all. I can not do LAX anymore. But LGB airport has limited flights.

I’ve never flown out of LGB. I need to try it sometime. I like SNA because it’s small and usually not too crowded either, and I agree with you, LAX is a bit of a nightmare anymore. Thank you for watching!

Yup, the problem with sitting in 1A is that usually those overhead bins are not available for you.

I noticed this airbus did not have the starlink logo so there was no wifi on board, correct? I hope there is wifi when I go to hawaii in May haha Also, how was the turbulence on your flight? I'm pretty paranoid about that part 😅Thanks!!

I believe there was WiFi onboard but I didn’t use it. The flight overall was very smooth on both going and returning. You will love it!! Hope that helps, enjoy your trip!

I have never understood why some people make such a big deal of seat 1A. What is the difference?

It’s just nice because you don’t have someone sitting in front of you leaning their seat back, first row gets served first, and seat 1A is on the captain side and is always a window seat. Also closest to the bathroom and it generally has more room to get by the passenger next to you without bothering them. It’s definitely not the most important thing to sit in 1A, it’s just a nice preference if it’s available.
