That's Kauoha Mai (or The Keyhole Hula) from 1935, another classic written by the great Hawaiian singer Lena Machado. It tells the sad tale of a woman who goes to her boyfriend's house and, finding the door locked and her knock unanswered, peeks through the keyhole only to see..."It won't be the first time, girls, and it won't be the last." The singer is the very talented rising star Raiatea Helm. Aloha, N.

Mahalo Nalunui. Try as I might, and as much as I try to learn about the Hawaiian language - putting all the words together sometimes just don't make it. So nice to have someone tell the story so those of us who WANT to appreciate it - can. Again, Mahalo nui loa.
