Hawk Tuah! Spit Shining my 1940 Mercury with Chrome

This time at the Quick Speed Shop I'm going to Hawk Tuah and spit on that thing, you got me? Adding stick on chrome to the grille and new headlight bezels for my 1940 Mercury hot rod sedan. I also add a nicer 1941 Ford bumper. A little rattle can black and some plastic chrome make this make over a great exercise in using simple techniques to achieve great results.

My late fathers was born in 1940 and his absolute favorite car was a 40 Merc. He owned several in his lifetime, the coolest one was a original 2dr sedan with finned aluminum heads , 3 dueces , fenton headers , Columbia 2spd rearend .

@@QuickSpeedShop True true. It was some yellow overload the chrome combined with "Curves and Straight" lines is Art Deco. That car was made in the Art Deco era.

Yeah, I need to trace down the wiring and figure out where to add one. Regular headlights should draw less than these Hella ones as well.

I put the bumpers on this car. When I got it they had been filled. IMO '39-'40 Mercs should always have bumpers and done in early custom style
