Wondering if you reweighed after changing out bracket? Was considering how much weight reduction you could get changing bracket, removing the piece on back side of vertical post, and removing second versa button in addition to changing straps? Seems like you could get it to sub 10 lbs.

I didn't re- weight it.

I don't know if all that is worth it by the time you consider the weight ,time to make mods, and lose the warranty you aren't going to save that much money I think I'd would just buy a lone wolf. Plus it's made in the good old USA, appreciate the time and effort to make the video keep up the good work.

I would agree 100% if you can afford a lone wolf get a lone wolf over this stand! If you just cant afford one then maybe this option could work? Thanks Clint!

What was the reasoning for the 1/4” hole. Did you have to increase the size of the existing hole? And did you mention that did you relocate the versa button? What was the reason for the upgraded washer?
@MichiganGreatOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
The existing hole was way too big like 5/8 so I drilled new 1/4 hole for off set bracket I moved the versa button to be the same distance from bracket like on a lone wolf stand. I just used a bigger grade 8 washer cause it made me feel good.

Do you think the lone wolf pull straps would still work if you just kept the hawk bracket on the stand I’m like you I don’t like fighting ratchet straps hanging out of a tree but I might be to lazy to change out the bracket 😂
@MichiganGreatOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
No, you would have to add a versa button.

Good presentation. I have never seen such a stand. Here in Germany it is not so easy to go hunting. You have to get a hunting license and the hunting grounds are given to hunters for a certain time.

You know that loud noise when you cam locked it both times? That’s reason enough not to cam lock a stand without a cast platform. The little clicks of a slowly operated ratchet strap are nothing compared to that. I had a couple of Hawk Helium’s a few years ago. They were pretty decent stands, but not the best for hang and hunt. And like Millennium treestands, , Hawk has had a hard time weighing their stands. Shame companies can’t get accurate weights, but hey, what do we expect? It’s not like they’re made in the good ol US of A. Speaking of accurate weights and made in the USA, though, my Novix Echo is supposed to be in tomorrow so in case I failed to comment, thanks for that review. Stay safe this season and God bless.

Yeah, Hawk should really fire there Marketing guy as well as make sure to weigh the stands properly before coming to market. I like my Novix Echo a lot. Plan to use it in Gun season for all day sits. Best of luck to you this deer season as well!!

Dude, those still scare me. I use ratchet straps on all my stands and truly only do ladders anymore. Thats probably why I havent got a monster in awhile either:):). That seemed like a good retro though brother.

Haha yeah It takes some getting used to. Obviously in a tree your always gonna be in your harness!! Thanks brother 💪
