Finally....someone who gets right down to plainly explaining how they differ, where it really matters! Thanks

Thanks for the comparison. The Endurance model is intriguing with the ED glass.

I've got a pair of the Endurance. Brilliant. Take them out practically every day.

Will easy outperform many non ED 32mm binoculars. At our optics weekends (hopefully again soon) they outsold the nature-treks

@@44messier I've got a pair of 32mm,different make and these let in as much light. Also focus quite closely so you can take in butterflies, plants etc.

Good review. I was very pleased with my ED 8x25, until I compared with the Swarovski 8x20 binos I bought my wife many years ago. Now the EDs seem poor and I want Swarovskis.

So I am guessing you are comparing a £150 set with £500+ binocs. Of course there will be a difference
@shoughton19688 ай бұрын
@@44messier I appreciate that. My point was how perception of quality changes as you look through others. An image that was perceived as excellent diminishes relatively when you see a better one. I agree that the Hawke ED are fantastic for the price.

sir how about low light performance?before that i have steiner safari ultrasharp...its bad in low light
@44messier3 жыл бұрын
25mm binoculars of any brand will have limitations in low light. In this price range with the brands we sell, the Viking ventura 8x25 and Hawke endurance ED 8x25 are as good as you get. Never dealt with Steiner , so can not comment on them.

tq sir for reply..may you suggest at me what brand really good in low light 8 or 10 x25 binocular?or what is the best between hawke endurance ed with Viking ventura 8x25 in low light?
@44messier3 жыл бұрын
If the only thing that matters is low light, you need a set of 10x50 or 8x56. As mentioned before, all 25mm binoculars will have limitations and not suited to low light. 8x25 is better than 10x25 due to the larger exit pupil. The Ventura 8x25 gives a slightly brighter image than the Hawke 8x25, but on the flip side shows more CA and has a smaller FOV

Hi! I’m looking at the nature trek 10x42. Would this be suitable for wildlife rescue and whale and dolphin surveys? I’m new to binoculars so fairly clueless. I have small hands so want something light and compact.
@44messier Жыл бұрын
Obviously they will be larger than the 25mm in this video. Consider The Hawke Endurance ED 10x32 or 8x32, Nature trek 8x32 / 10x32 if looking for a compromise. Also, may be only 7x magnification, but the Hawke Marine ED 7x32 is a great seller for us, designed for use around water and pick up amazing detail with a very wide field of view. All available on our website

does it indeed have extra dispersion glass? No purple fringes?
@44messier3 жыл бұрын
Extra low dispersion glass means vastly reduced (not totally eliminated) chromatic aberration. So compared to the nature trek 8x25 there is less CA. If you are nearby where we have our open days, come along and test for yourself.

Many thanks for this.

No worries. We find most of our visitors to our optics weekend go for the Endurance ED out of these two
