Just got these today from Hawke optics in Fort Wayne,Indiana.I got the black ones.I wanted annupgrade over my $100 Nikon, and these fit the bill nicely.I figured it would be a big step up and they are.Optical clarity seems solid,and the objective lens allows in plenty of light even at dusk.These came nicely packaged with straps for binoculars and straps for the hardcase.I probably wont use either,but its nice to have the option.What impressed me on this deal was how I received my order just 30 hours after ordering as I’m in Ohio and these came from Indiana.It’s only been 16 hours thatI’ve been in posession of these , and I’m quite impressed thus far,and no regrets about spending what I spent.I will be primarily using these for bird watching.

Just got these delivered today from NorthernOptics not just a good review but a great supplier too. the Endurance ED range are nice optics for money, they are a strong option

Hardly anything to choose between them. So I guess its more down to how they handle. If I was to put them under the microscope, the Merlin would have a touch brighter image, where the Hawke has great CA control. But the difference is so small, many may not notice in the real world. The Hawke lifetime warranty is something that swings the choice for many. Currently in stock with us

These are excellent, but a bit heavy, so I've purchased a Hawke harness strap to take the strain over long days. I should mention that I'm an older woman whose never eaten her spinach! 😂
