I object to giving Fuji Heavy Industry the credit for the aero design of the wing. That was done by Dr. Pui Ho and myself, Beechcraft employees. Dr. Ho used CFD and my Lofting talent to shape 11 different airfoils from root to tip. We did it in such a way to “unload” the trailing edge so that slats and powered controls would not be needed. We then gave Fuji the 1g steady state loft of the wing as well as the relaxed jig loft to design the structure. The magic in the wing performance was ours, the Fuji’s.

He didn't really say they designed it, but at least Fuji did more than most suppliers simply building to print. They did the DTM and the FEM and bore significant risk in the project, McDonnell Douglas style. Anyway, this airplane is a gem and a great find and a superior value in the market for what it does and it is in my top 3 choices for a purchase later this year or early next.

@@gendaminoru3195 Thanks for the feed back. You are right, Fuji did put a lot of risk into the wing. I guess I am a little touchy - still - cause I didn’t like or think the idea of giving that work to Fuji was a good idea. Dr. Ho and I did put a lot of BS&T into that design and that is where the real magic of the aircrafts performance comes from. Structural design and build is really not new science but the tailored aerodynamics on that wing was new and innovative.

The market is right around $3.5 million. I imagine a sale could go through for a little less. I wish these were still in production. At one time I really wanted to fly this thing. The plane was way ahead of it's time. Except for the significant use of composites, technology has somewhat surpassed the Horizon.
