Hawker Sea Fury VH-SHF Wanaka 2002

Nigel Arnot displays Sea Fury VH-SHF (formally ZK-SFR) at Warbirds over Wanaka 2002. On completion of the airshow Nigel flew it back to Australia making it's 7th Tasman crossing. Included are 8 minutes of warm-up/run-up for true Centaurus fans.

Beautiful looking aircraft the sea fury first time I seen it at warbirds over wanaka 1992 just love the look of it it's a big aircraft and a beast of one.

Just curious -- when I see a Sea Fury with a 5-bladed prop, like this one, is that a pretty good indication that it still has the original Bristol Centaurus engine? I see lots of Sea Furys with 4-bladed props and I know that at least some of them have been fitted with American power plants (R2800, R3350, R4360). Is it a requirement that, when the engine swap is done, the prop has to be swapped as well?

Yes, the Centaurus rotates in the opposite direction.
