You think about it, Clint is the glue that keeps things going. He brought in Natasha (before the Avengers), was there when Thor first showed up, was one of Fury's and Coulson's right hand man, brought in Wanda, and etc. The guy is a steady force in the chaotic workings of the Avengers.

With that too, he isn’t deserving all the shit he gets. The difficulty of archery and not just that but literally any ranged thing is under rated. He gets bullseyes every shot with anything (bow, golf club, etc.). I’ve done archery for the past year and I can say for certain, the shit he does makes him worthy for the avengers. He is also a master combatant, which everyone seems to forget too.

@@bananaeclipse3324, My daughter was a competitive Archer (Recurve bow) for 4 years, and she worked hard at it. So I can understand what it takes to be able to hit the target. And that is the thing about Hawkeye (Clint Barton) is that he is an expert marksman (archery, knives, darts, etc.) along with a highly proficient hand-to-hand fighter. He doesn't have super strength or armor, but he is a scrapper.

Clint is the humanity of the original Avengers. Everyone else lost their humanity in some way. Cap is superhuman. Iron Man has armor. Thor is a god. Hulk transforms into a monster. Black Widow was brainwashed into a killer. Hawkeye is the bravest of them all because he's the most vulnerable and has the most to lose.

After seeing the Hawkeye show he's now my favorite character. Giving a character a tiny bit of depth doesn't even take that much effort, but it makes all the difference. Now that Tony is gone it's Thor and Hawkeye that have me most excited to see where they go from here. I fear they're going to drop the ball with Wanda, but she and Vison show promise too after what they did with WandaVision.

Honestly rn I'm watching mostly for tom holland spiderman and his next trilogy. Wanda and vision are ok atm too but phase 4 has been really lackluster so far. I hope clint shows up more but I doubt it his actors contract is running out so he won't be around for too much longer.

Again, I will admit to preferring more powerful characters (Thor being my personal favourite Avenger), but there’s nothing wrong with being the badass normal of the team.

@@captainross4706 That is a fair cop. In the MCU, he’s definitely being presented nowadays as an older hero, and that does bring problems. Of course, in practice it’s part and parcel of him likely passing the mantle to Kate Bishop. Still, if you ask me, it’s pretty darn impressive to push through injuries like that. It shows a tremendous mental resilience, as much as anything else.

@@forg2355 Warning Spoilers to those who haven't seen it!! I thought it was great!! The plot was a little hard to understand at first, but I got used to it. I am new to the MCU, (started watching in May this year) so I didn't know that he was going by Ronin, even though I saw Endgame. I absolutely loved the scenes with Hawkeye and his kids, and him and Kate are already an amazing duo. I loved how he was already tired of her like 5 minutes in the 2nd episode and bonked his head on the door. I can't wait to see the rest of the series, I am super excited! I also had the biggest smile on my face during Steve Roger's The Musical, and laughed at the brief flashbacks of his injuries. And the opening scene was incredible, how they tied in the first Avengers movie! I am glad he is FINALLY getting the recognition he deserves. He is one of my favorite Avengers. :)
