The problem I have with any Kia/Hyundai models are the notorious GDI engines. I find it peculiar that the new Kia K4 has the multi Port/GDI...which is possibly less prone to oil dilusion. Where is the hybrid model for the K5? These engines across the board are lackluster and need better technology. However the interiors are spot on.

Great review Anthony. I really like this model and you can't beat the price but it should have HVAC vents in the rear. I'd want the impossible though..the GT engine in the GT line lol. 100 extra HP is just too tempting! 78 here now and it was pretty windy earlier and a very cool 37 last night. It unfortunately is super dry here so no real chance of rain but thank you for the good wishes. It sounds like things are still really nice over on your side which is great. How is Isa doing? Hopefully he is feeling better. It's a good sign that he wanted to speak with your teams for sure lol 🤣Still waiting on my test results but it's Kaiser and they are not generally in a rush to do anything lol. Thank you James. I would go the extra for the GT too. The extra power and drive is worth it. It’s back in the high 70s to mid80s and the ac is back here but it should drop this weekend 🤞lol. Sounds like your side is a lot better with the weather but the dry air isn’t the best. Hopefully the test results come this week. I know with holidays they all take an extra day or two. Isa stayed home today but he will be back to normal tomorrow as he feels better today. I’m glade he is thinking outside the box with YT but I am going to push him for college. If you remember he wanted to be an F1 driver now he doesn’t talk so much about that. Kids they change minds fast lol. Happy Monday James

I've got the 2025 k5 GT line. W/ AWD 2.5. Nice car, at 1200 miles thus far sport mode shift points are high in my opinion. Hwy mileage is not bad, city is OK if you keep your foot out of it. I'm still getting used to the dash lay out/ kinda old school maybe and miss the analog Guage clusters I had in the Forte GT w/ dual exhaust and paddle shift that was very helpful in sport mode. But as an upgrade n/a with awd not that big of a deal. I haven't experienced any oil consumption issues, individual mileage may vary, I'm still going through a wear in period with the car. Good bang for the buck and a nice car thus far suspensions nice a little soft. The wider track of the car is nice, tires are gonna be pricey. Going to upgrade the to factory dual exhaust as soon as it available. Not alot of road noise at hwy speeds, comfortable, quick enough for what it is.

@@ARs-rj4lq This car needs a hybrid to stay in the loop. Not the current hybrid set-up in the Sonata but better technology with more horsepower and torque. The K5 is handing over market share by being late in the game.

@@kalbo6970 I do not know the recommended oil interval for the K5. If it's 7,500 miles between oil changes be prepared for oil dilusion down the line. The service dept. is banking on you not understanding or seeing the importance of coming every 3,500 miles for an oil change. There are reasons these cars are not design to last... all about money. Kia uses the MPI---less prone to carbon buildup--in other models why use GDI engines in the K5....that's right money. Even the K4 has the MPI set-up....crazy dynamics.

@e.l.4019 I'm happy with mine. Should I have gotten the 2.5 turbo? Yes. Just wasn't in the realm of affordability at the time, some cross platform would be nice with the Guage set up in the car or maybe different downloadable screen set ups, oil pressure, voltage, for all the sensors in the car a little more digital analog style, heavy car to begin with for a hybrid, just an opinion.
