AFK doesn’t work for just being in a mission. It only counts when you’re in the air. Best to take off get to altitude and slow sim rate all the way down and then after however many hours of AFK skip to landing.

It works for me, I just go into the plane and nothing else. So I don't remove red tags or chocks. I just go right into the plane and that's it.

Thanks It works for me, but I still haven't figured out the system. One day with 18 planes I got like 8.9 mil and the next day with almost the same amount of time, even some more time and with 19 aircraft, I got like 7.9 mil. I always make sure all the planes are maintained. One day was a bummer, I came back after 12 hours and the error message, so most of the time after like 8 hours I make sure to restart and abort it, so that it save that time, cause it happened a few times now that I got that error message.

Got a cargo and a vip comp, none is generating any money, nor cost (at least) besides all planes (owing a 172, 208, and visionJ, all got crew ON) are in top shape. Yesterday I flew missions like for several hours. BUT - I did only fly fire missions as a hired gun employee pilot - not as a freelancer - so I am assuming these flight hours do NOT count for your pilots to fly for you? That is somewhat annoying (besides the fact, that the community has to guesswork all these details together - I rally like to have a old style "handbook"...) Cheereo and have a nice landing into the new year!

@@forcedtoexist6221 it shouldn’t matter, however there is a bug that if you are logged in at 00:00 UTC passive income does not get payed. This is most likely the problem that you are dealing with.

That seems to be correct yes. Haven't been able to get payouts from doing employee missions either.

great video. thanks for the info. Wish you could cover about what insurance package we should take for passive income planes. Does the crew crash planes? Or can i assume that they will not crash and go for the cheapest insurance?

I've yet to see the crew crash any planes so I've stuck with the lowest level of insurance. I do opt for the highest level of insurance for my first few flights whenever I get a new airplane I haven't flown myself but for the AI lowest should work great.

I bought the used 208B for 1.6 million and still had about another 1.6 million in repairs. However I have noticed a few changes to passive income since the game launched. After launch it seemed hours and miles were random. Which kind of made me made because my C172 was putting in more work than my 208B once per day. Now it seems they all put in the same hours now which might be how many ever hours we fly ourselves. Im not sure but it felt that way. They should let us assign planes to jobs once a day instead of playing company jackpot with the AI. Something I have noticed though is I lose money with the c172 while the 208B and Vision Jet make money for me. The next one I am buying today is the PC12 and hopefully it does even better. Also I have not done employee missions since I started my own companies. I will try this out because it seems ridiculous how passive income works in our own companies.

Tried this, and it shows that after flying my three Cessnas for 18 hours, I only earned 150k passive income, 50k of which went to maintenance. I guess there are other factors at play here as well

Seems there is either a limit or a requirement for the player to earn income. Will experiment more with it.

Well im on xbox and u cant really go afk on xbox even if ur controller is directly plugged into your xbox. And if u try to use some sort of a cable to keep the camera moving to prevent the game from recognizing that u afk doesn't work. After about 15 min the xbox just pauses the game. Idk if that counts too or not :Edit: Maybe someone has an idea of how u can get it to work? Would be really helpful for me

Setting, general, power mode first option "don't turn off automatically". Next go to preferences, idle options, uncheck the “Show me things when idle” check box Hope this helps

You're probably going to end up spending about 30% of the income on maintenance, but you can wait pretty long until you do it and save up some funds.

Haven't tested it with one plane, but I have gained passive income from the plane I have been using at one point so it might be possible.

I think I heard that only the time airborne is accounted for passive income. But i guess you tested it and it worked also staying on ground. I actually wonder how the game would identify you being airborne or on the ground.

I think the game only cares if you are in a mission, that does seem to be the case right now.

You need to own at least 2 aircraft and then fly one of them.

I just want the game to be playable at this point. For some reason after the new year there are ZERO vip missions. Like a mission sky diving and cargo ones for some reason though. I guess if I want to waste and hour to make $3,000 I can do those 🙄

The VIP missions went missing when the new year came, so assume there is some weird stuff going on there with the calendar, hopefully it gets fixed soon.

Thats lame. I decided to turn passive oncome on right when i ended my career missions for the evening. Watched a different video where they said all i had to do was be at an airport with several available missions. So i guess that's not true? Excuse me, i need to go yell at a content creator.
