God hasn't given up on you. I know how you must feel, for I, too, grew up with spiritual attacks of negativity from adults. For many years I suffered from low self esteem, fear and doubt. I thought that God hated me, because I wondered why God would allow adults to attack a child, who only wished to love and be loved. I now realize that without these experiences, I may not have been the person I am now. I say in humbleness, that I have a loving spirit. Robert, God loves you and so do I.

I LOVE THIS SONG. I'm only 11 and one time I had this dream and a dark mean shadow came into the room I was in and this what I sead. IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIS LEAVE ME ALONE (something like that) and it left. And that's when I learned the true power of the name of Jesus 's name. never forgot that dream from that day on 😁☺😊
@WIGEEMAN999 жыл бұрын
+CoolgrlGamer Kimura Just because your delusional Religiously tainted mind tells you in your sleep that Jesus' name drives away things which obviously don't exist, doesn't mean the name has any actual power. Use your brain, it's simple logic.
@toaster400_9 жыл бұрын
+WIGEEMAN99 Just because you don't believe something doesn't mean you have to put it down. This kid said he was 11. No need to get mean. I have no idea how old you are or what you believe, but nothing gives you an excuse to be mean to a kid, or anybody, actually. So if you ever want to get anywhere in life, you should probably be polite. It's simple logic, really.
@WIGEEMAN999 жыл бұрын
Jo Picconatto It's not about beliefs, it's about fact. I'm 16, and there can be excuses to be "mean" to people, what a stupid thing to say. Don't defend him, he needs to learn before it's too late. If I was truly trying to be mean, you would notice the difference. Being polite to absolutely everyone will make you nothing more than a doormat, and you will get nowhere in life. It's simple logic.
@toaster400_9 жыл бұрын
+WIGEEMAN99 Being polite to everyone and doing Everything everyone says are two completely different things. If I did everything everyone said to me I wouldn't have a life. If I were polite to everyone(I'm not always, I'm not perfect), most people are polite back. Not all people, but there are jerks everywhere. The point is, you have to be careful what you say and do. That IS the whole point of the song...words can build you up or tear you down, and personally I think it's a lot better to use them to build people up. I completely agree that there are some people who deserved to be yelled at and who we feel like we should be mean to, but (here comes the "preachy part") God says that we should a) love ( love meaning be nice to) others b) do unto others as we would have them do unto us, and c) to love (also meant as be kind to)our enemies. You don't have to be a Christian to follow these instructions, they just truly make life better. I'm not so naive as to think that you're just going to say "Oh, ok, I'm gonna be nice all the time and love all my enemies" because I don't love them all either, far from it. Just be careful what you say, because words leave a mark.
@WIGEEMAN999 жыл бұрын
You don't have to do everything everyone says to be a doormat, as communication and persuasion/conversation often neglects physical action. Not everyone who shows signs of being impolite at times is a jerk, and what you say is true about no one being perfect. Thus, why on Earth are you starting an argument over this? It's illogical. Of course I'm careful about what I say, that's how I get on in life. In this scenario, I did not need to be careful at all, because a juvenile young boy was showing signs of becoming brainwashed. It is only instinctual as a human being to want to save him before it is too late. Stop relating this to the bigger picture, it doesn't aid your cause in the slightest, because this isn't a big thing, you are making it one. It doesn't matter to me what God says, I follow my own rules and principles in life, and I get by just fine. This poor young boy is going to grow up with ridiculous ideas about a necessary being which is supposedly the creator of contingency. I don't want that to happen to anybody if I can help it, as an atheist. Words can leave a mark, and that was exactly my intention. It sounds a though he is on the wrong path, and I am here to set him straight. Don't worry about his mental well being, I am doing quite the opposite of corrupting him.

I was reminded of this song today. I was walking to work and was crossing an intersection on my turn when the driver in a car attempting to turn left (where I was crossing) started beeping his horn repeatedly and flipping me off. I could have shared some choice words with his about his behavior right back at him, but instead just shook my head and kept walking. His behavior reflected his heart in that moment, but I chose to act in a way that reflected my God.

Don’t be fooled by religions, all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Some of us admit we are sinners and believe that God sent his Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins and raised him from the dead so that we might believe, and be forgiven. Others take issue with admitting that they have sinned, or that God is real, or that the word of God is true. They don’t want forgiveness because they’re still pleading their own innocence or claiming the judge won’t be there when they die. Jesus Christ and the works he did are the free gift of salvation and forgiveness, but you can’t give someone something that they don’t want. You have to realize who you are, and what you are, and humble yourself and seek forgiveness and salvation through what He did, rather than who you are. Seek and ye shall find. The gospel literally means ‘the good news’. Repent (show sorrow) and believe the gospel (good news).

Hi. I was at Extreme Camps when y'all performed there and unfortunately I only made it for the last song. But I didn't know y'all san this song and it's one of my favorite songs and I came in and y'all played it. and I realized while I was jamming out that this song was basically my motto for the day without even realizing it. I could feel God work through me for the first time ever. I was speaking His words. And I just wanted to thank you for playing that song, because that day I will never forget and that moment was the icing on the cake

Thank you for the inspiration! As an elementary teacher in a public school, I was faced with discussing a school shooting which happened 30 miles from my school this past spring. As I was thinking about what to say to my students about the incident, your song played on the radio. I immediately knew what I needed to say. I discussed the lyrics to your song and applied them to the shooter who was killed. They wanted to see the video after the discussion and my students got it! They understood how their words affect others and I actually overheard several students better explain themselves to others in the days following our discussion. Your words are what my students and I needed to hear during a trying time in our lives. Thank you!

They've made me feel like a prisoner They've made me feel set free They've made me feel like a criminal Made me feel like a king They've lifted my heart To places I'd never been And they've dragged me down Back to where I began Words can build you up Words can break you down Start a fire in your heart or Put it out Let my words be life Let my words be truth I don't wanna say a word Unless it points the world back to You You can heal the heartache Speak over the fear (Speak over the fear) God, Your voice is the only thing We need to hear (We need to hear) Words can build us up Words can break us down Start a fire in our hearts or Put it out Let my words be life Let my words be truth I don't wanna say a word Unless it points the world back to You (Back to You) Let the words I say (Let the words I say) Be the sound of Your grace (Sound like Your grace) I don't wanna say a word Unless it points the world back to You I wanna speak Your love Not just another noise Oh, I wanna be Your light I wanna be Your voice Let my words be life Let my words be truth I don't wanna say a word Unless it points the world back to You (Back to You) Let the words I say (Let the words I say) Be the sound of Your grace (Sound like Your grace) I don't wanna say a word Unless it points the world back to You (Back to You) Words can build us up Words can break us down Start a fire in our hearts Or put it out I don't wanna say a word Unless it points the world back to You
