It's true. If you're a skateboarder, it's physically impossible to stop. This is due to the fact that the primary function of the hippocampus frontal lobe is to regulate the intake of bioluminescent passion leading to an obtuse inability to give a fuck about anything else. Roll forever. I can totally empathize with this feeling and have lately been playing out the scenario of being on my deathbed in my old age and I realized that no matter what we accomplish on our boards, it could be Danny Way level of accomplishment, doesn't matter, a lifetime is not enough for us. All of us will leave this Earth with a feeling that we want one more day on our boards. It's the same drive that keeps us battling a trick after saying "last one" a million times. Of course we'll be sad leaving the people close to us, but we'll be heartbroken leaving our board behind.

This episode for some reason reminded me of meeting Riley when we were kids. Tony was filming a hot wheels commercial at my local skatepark Skatelab, in Simi Valley. Half the park was sectioned off for the commercial but the rest was still open. Torrey pudwill was also there joking around, telling people he was Tony’s son. I then proceeded to tell Riley “hey did you know that’s tony hawks son???” He then corrected me saying he was actually his son and said that was Torrey pudwill…. Lol I got to skate the rest of the session with Riley and he was super cool.
