Hopefully there will be a 5.1 release at some point for 'In Search of Space'. If you don't already know the album then you really should check it out. 'Hall of The Mountain Grill' is another peak from their early years...

I remember you posting the link to the German deal. I jumped on it straight away but was back up to full price. Love this album. Used to listen to this in the 70's so am glad to addthos to the collection. Shame its not ATMOD but the 5.1 is good. On a side note, i jammed with Nic Turner at Stonehenge free festival in 82. He was completely out of it on Acid but could still put it together.

Had no idea THE WARRIOR was available in 5.1. Thanks for that tip! Any word on DON't SHOOT ME or THE WALL? Are there any other places to find Surround Discs besides MUSIC DIRECT, RHINO and DUTTON VOCALION? I seem to miss out on new releases and end up forever on the AWAITING REPRESSING LIST. I really enjoy your passion for ALL THINGS SURROUND as It has been my SUPER PASSION since I was was 14 in 1973. I'm trying to catch up on all the music I missed out on not knowing there were so many discs out there other than what Best Buy sold. Now the $25 discs are $75 to $200, a little hard to fit into the family budget, but I am just Loving what I am able to pick up. THANKS FOR THE WORK AND TIME YOU PUT INTO YOUR VIDEOS!

I first saw HW at Stone Henge free festival in 1982 - 3 & 4. They played on a flat bed semi trailer. I actually saw red and green notes floating out the speaker stacks. The blue MD's were very strong. Subsequently I've seen HW countless times like over 100 times over the decades. From massive festivals to small intimate clubs in Southampton. HW are a groove band; you're either in the groove or ain't. Glad SW is producing MC mixes

"Songs keep heading there till the mission is complete." An apt description of UA-era Hawkwind! I'm more of a Charisma-era fan, beginning with *Astounding Sounds* and then the amazing *Quark, Strangeness & Charm* to *25 Years* & *PXR5.* Those mid 1970's albums are very tight musically & the lyrics are incredible thanks to Bob Calvert's writing. It sounds like a different band. Steven Wilson did a fine 5.1 of Q,S, & C but his work on *25 Years* was just odd & ruined the album for me. All the Charisma albums (except Astounding) remixed into 5.1 are in the pricey *Days of the Underground* box set (I saved up my Amazon points before buying it.

I was doing college radio during that era, and remember that only the "heaviest" DJs would play Hawkwind on the dodgy UA pressings available in the USA (I only have a "Silver Machine single, which is even worse than the LPs). The surround "Warrior on the Edge of Time" reissue is light-years (heh) ahead of those old pressings in audio quality, as are the streaming versions now available of the Hawkwind/Calvert catalog.

I really like Hawkwind, and I didn't know about it... Too bad for me for the German deal. In any case, given your permanent smile, this mix is a good replacement for meth 😁!
