A look inside Hawthorn Hill, the home of Orville Wright. This is the house the Wright brothers planned on building after the success of the airplane. Unfortunately, Wilbur died just before construction started in 1912. Completed in 1914, Orville lived in the house until his death in 1948. His father lived there until his death in 1917 and Orville's sister Katharine lived there until she got married in 1926. NCR bought the house after Orville's death. Hawthorn Hill is now owned and managed by Dayton History. Tours of the home are available every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:00am and 12:30pm. Tours are limited to ten people each.
