I love love my childhood town of Hawthorne! I have lived there back then since December 1st 1970 at age 5 years old...through...February 17th 1979...just almost turning 14 years old. I just visited there since last Saturday...to go to see a show at the Shortway's Barn restaruant! I'm planning to come back to visit there again later this year! As far as the Lincoln Middle School......back then from the 70's time.....it was just plain "Lincoln School"...before it was named "Lincoln Middle School". This town has 5 elementary schools from grades Kindergarten to 8th grade....such as Washington...Lincoln...Franklin...Roosevelt...and Jefferson....and of course...the high school. Come to think of it.....I STILL NOW....got my 5 different report cards from Lincoln School from back then...for over many years now! LOL! I soooo cherished of my memories there! Thanks so much for sharing of this video! :)

By the way, Post 199 is the best American Legion Post and has the one of the best drinkin bars in Jersey!

I love this town of my life...and I wished that I can move back there again. Me and my family have lived there way back (December 1st '70 through February 17th '79). Such great childhood memories that I have there. Plus...I cannot BELIEVED how the Lincoln school has changed! Now...it's Lincoln Middle School?! WOW! I used to go there...and still got my old report card for over many years now...and my school classroom picture of me, my 6th grade teacher and my classmates too. We have about 5 Elementary Schools there. Washington, Lincoln, Franklin, Roosevelt, and Jefferson. And..of course...Hawthorne High School too. Thanks so much for sharing!

+Sheila Melgar-Tomasto I have been living there from December 1st 1970 through February 17 1979. I was born from Paterson in '65...them we moved to my future favorite childhood town in Hawthorne. I still think about this town for my life for years now...and it makes me want to move back there again..even on this today's time too....:)

Now that I've seen Hawthorne, New Jersey, Debbie Harry of Blondie band hometown. What in the world is there to do there for fun? Know wonder why Debbie got out of that Hawthorne. What Hawthorne needs is a good old fashion " INDIAN CASINO. " That would get the doldrums out of Hawthorne. For sure.
