@@evanreloadingbazookagaming1699power creep just means that things get stronger as time goes on. In Pokémon’s case, modern Pokémon like fluttermane, goldhengo, etc. are much stronger than Pokémon from earlier gens

@carstengrooten36868 ай бұрын
@@evanreloadingbazookagaming1699what the other guy says. Its that the developers keep introdicing more powerful moves and pokemon so that you will use the new pokemon over the old ones. They know the old ones are more popular so they give tue new ones an adge by making them stronger to guarantee people will play with them. But it means that unless the old mons get cherrypicked for buffs too, they will get left behind and will be outclassed by newer mons. You see it in the games, but also in the TCG. 10 years ago, no pokemon had 200 hp, now almost all special cards do. In gen 1, the tankiest cards did often not even make 100. In gen 9, a lot of mons came out that would be utterly overpowered in previous generations. But most mons got upgrades so the entire field gets lifted. And the mons that dont get big buffs like Haxorus get left behind. Its a little sad but understandable and refreshing at the same time

The irony is that Haxorus used to be the definition of power creep back in Gen 5.

@@natnaterson9717depending on how long you’ve been out of the games, they have bottle caps which allow you to max out ivs, and you can quick battle (send out a Pokémon in the real world, doesn’t have a standard battle) and KO Pokémon, which counts for evs as well. @beta42398 ай бұрын
@@natnaterson9717Since generation 7 (Sun and Moon) there have been items called Bottle Caps that you can give to an NPC to max out a Pokémon’s IVs. In gen 7 and 8(?) your Pokémon had to be level 100 to use this, but in Gen 9 it was changed to be level 50. Generation 8 also added Nature Mints, which allow you to change your Pokémon’s nature to one more beneficial, though berries that confuse based on Natures still work off of the original nature. Gen 8 also added EXP. Candy, which gives Experience based on what sized candy you give it (XL giving the most, and XS the least). These changes makes it so much easier to make legit competitive teams, and if you’re an avid shiny hunter like me, full shiny teams that are actually good. It still takes some grinding (mostly Raids in gens 8 and 9) but it’s MUCH easier than how we used to have to breed for just about everything.
