I've found that once I open a chest on my farm and on another farm as well as my town and another person's town, they stay locked for over an hour, but eventually they reappear unlocked in all 4 places. So playing all day will net a number of tools, if you remember to go around and check all places.

It also seems to depend on frequency of checking and finding unlocked ones -- if I only find the unlocked ones and then stop without tapping on some locked ones, then later ones start out locked. So I try to make sure when I leave the game, that I've tapped on locked chests in all 4 places. Then when I come back, they are usually all open. (Ah, a future project for me -- time how long before they respawn unlocked. I wonder if that info is in the wiki.)

I've scoured supercell and the internet & can't find an answer! Both my husband's farm and mine have a couple of players that are under both the friend tab and the follower tab. My question is if I remove the player from my follower tab will they still be under the friend tab? I don't want to accidentally remove them completely but I'm only allowed to have 12 followers and this player is already a friend so doesn't need to be using up 1 of my follower spots! I don't have any way to communicate with the player or I'd just tell them to fix it! Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks!

They will still be your friend even if you remove them from followers. Also it's a bug that allows you to have 12 follows (being able to follow 12 people). The limit is 10. So if you unfollow them, it won't free up a follow spot, as you will then have 11/10 which is still over the limit due to the glitch. You'd have to drop to 9/10 follow spots, in order to follow someone new.

Actually I think the difference in the newspapers is because of different devices. My husband and I both have 3 rows on our tablets and 2 rows on our phones. All the devices are Android so I think it's just because the phones are smaller

As you have to WAIT while your silo is full and your shop isn't sold, so you just CAN'T HARVEST, you'd better grow useful crops as soy or whatever, instead of spoiling the newspaper ! Just stupid...
