This is Kumari Kamala, the brilliant Bharatanatyam dancer, who followed the Vazhvoor style.Ex wife of R K Laxman she latter married Laxminarayan and is settled in USA. ALL Dances of Kathputli were by its heroine Dr Vyjayanthimala Bali,were excellent and directed by Sohanlal,except this one which was choreographed by the Kathak Mastereo Gopi Kishan. Kamala started as Baby Kamala in South Indian film and initially learnt Kathak.Later ,of course she became a living legend in Bharatanatyam. Another famous dance of Kamala was from film Yahudi.Dil me pyar ka toofan.na dekhe duniya nadaan zalim ghoor ghoor ke.

Many of the admirers of Kamala Lakshman , might not have seen her " Moon Walk " Dance in the film Sangeeth Samrat Tansen. She danced before Akbar (Music Director S.N.Thripati himself acted as Akbar ) to Veena played by Bharath Bhushan. It is a small 2.41 mt. Music bit , No Audio song .
