Y'all... Coming from a 66 year old man who has listened to country & western, swing, bluegrass, and folk, and managed concerts, THERE IS NO BETTER MUSICAL COMPOSITION AND ACCOMPANIMENT THAN WHAT Y'ALL DID WITH THIS SONG. It is sublime, rhythmic, and articulate all at the same time. This is musical mastery. As always, lil miss lead singer is spot on with every note of her voice, but then I would posit that because of the skill of the instrumentalists she is both inspired and confident to sing with all of her inner strength. Y'all got something here guys...

I just heard this song at the beginning and end of the TV show "Tracker" and thought it to be the most beautiful song I have ever heard. The band is mesmerizing and she has the voice of an angel. I took a chance on the name of the song, and when I saw her face, I felt that voice just fit her. Listening to this just put me in a better place. I commented a year ago on this beautiful song. This September 28 2022 I laid my phone playing this song to heron my wife's chest in a hospice room. As she breathed her last breaths another victim of bad health and COVID. I cried my eyes out then and I am doing it again now as I write this. They say hearing is the last sense to go so I prayed she heard it and could feel my son and I holding her hands. She passed ironically at 3:16 pm as hurricane Ian pressed down on us. My son who held her hand on the other side of the bed is named Ian. I have the time as a constant reminder of John 3:16. RIP my love of 47 years. I will be a long soon. Thank you for the years and thank you for this song.

I first heard this song the morning that my grandfather passed away. My uncle and me were coming back from the hospital, it was quiet. He put this song on and at first I didn't really pay attention. Once I heard "I'm only going over Jordan" everything felt still. As I kept listening I could feel the tears and emotions finally building up inside. When I heard "I'm going to see my mother, she said she'd meet me there when I come." I could feel the tears overflowing. This song helped me get through that week. Even now after 6 months when I hear this song it helps me remember that he is in a better place. I miss him so much and not a day has gone by that I don't think of him.

Bram van Munster : Glad to hear that Bram, it is no secret what God can do! I’ll keep you in my prayers, Bram. We all have experienced difficulties in our lifetimes and I am not trivializing your situation of 6 months ago, Jesus loves us and always will. Hang in there, ask for help or guidance anytime you need it, and keep your eyes on the prize: HEAVEN. I’ll be looking for ya! God be with you, my friend.

I think you mean the face of THE Madonna, the Virgin Mary, not Madonna, the whorish celebrity of our sad age. Totally agree these guys are fabulous.

Dad died just a couple days ago. 79, decent man who made mistakes like all of us as a young man but knuckled down and accepted Jesus as his saviour a few months after my mum's death a couple years ago. There's no mourning or dark clouds for my hope and knowledge that I'll see them both again is a guarantee the Lord granted me. Rejoice!

This song as sung by the lead vocalist and accompanying bluegrass orchestra brings chills up an down my spine. I love playing it on my acoustic guitar and singing it. Johnny Cash and Emmylou Harris both recorded it but no one or group could ever hold a candle to the Hayde version ❤

Wow! It is extraordinary when the instruments sing as well as the singer; and when that level of virtuoso is so high, the angels will want to cry. Thank you for sharing.

My mind was totally blown when I looked this band up and found they were from Oslo. They sound as if they just left the MerleFest on their way home to the mountains of NC/TENN. and they should be named Zeke, Bobby Ray, and Judith or Nora Sue

I'm 73 and was thinking precisely the same. This, and Maria Callas' rendition of Schubert's Ave Maria. Pieces such as these are in and of themselves celebrations of the beauty within the human spirit.

I found this accidentally a couple of years ago, and thought it was beautiful. Thought it was group of college kids jamming in someones sitting room. When I realized who they were, I listened whenever I could to versions from all over, from well-known artists to informal groups. This is still the best version, in my opinion, simple and sweet. Love it every time I listen.

Beautiful version, very well done! I grew up in a house and area in southern mo where bluegrass music was played all the time. My Daddy played multiple instruments. He went home to be with Jesus in 2008, and till this very day its still difficult to listen bluegrass without tearing up thinking about him! Please Please receive Jesus before its too late for you, and make sure your family and neighbors are saved!

The one thing to always keep in mind is it really is the last time you'll ever say good bye....because when we get to where he and the rest of us will all go one day there will be no more goodbyes, no tears, no pain, no sadness, no loneliness, and no more despair.
