😢 Man i can relate right now. My wife recently left me one morning as i was waking up. I tried to talk with her, i dont want divorce. There wasnt a single thing i could say to stop her from leaving. We both had our faults, pobably me more than her but no matter how bad it got with her, and despite many opportunities to leave, I could never bare the thought of us being apart for more than a few seconds before have a severe panic attack. That wpuld lead me to apologize immediately even if i didn't think I was wrong. We always told each other we eould always be willing to work things out. The fact that she couldnt tell me these feelings before making that decision makes me remember every mean thing I said that made her that much closer to leaving. Now it haunts me daily. Even through all the pain, she is still my best friend, im just not hers. Im not even a friend anymore, just like that. 6 years just gone. She left quietly for several months or years while i continued to believe things were fine since she hasnt told me its too much and ahe will leave if things dont change. And besides, that shouldn't have mattered because we promised we'd always be willing to work it out, that we believed we were soulmates. I believed her because I knew I was being honest. Its only been a month but it feels like yesterday and a year all at the same time. Thanks for reading
