Matilda the Musical | Royal Variety Performance 2021

The cast of Matilda the Musical performed at the Royal Variety Performance 2021 at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday, 18th November and the programme was broadcast on ITV on Sunday 19th December. Zoe Simon, who played the lead role of Matilda, was joined by the original West End Matildas, Cleo Demetriou, Eleanor Worthington Cox, Sophia Kiely and Kerry Ingram. The musical celebrated its 10th anniversary in the West End this year.

No it was the filming in 2020-2021 for the movie it was released last year Novemeber, For the adult cast, Emma Thompson as Miss Trunchbull, Lashana Lynch as Miss Honey, Stephen Graham as Mr Wormwood, Andrea Riseborough as Mrs Wormwood, and Sindhu Vee as Ms Phelps, for the children's cast, Alisha Weir as Matilda, Rei Yamauchi Fulker as Lavender, Charlie Hodson-Prior as Bruce, Meesha Garbett as Hortensia, Andrei Shen as Eric, Winter Jarrett-Glasspool as Amanda, Ashton Robertson as Nigel, Sadie Victoria Lim as Prefect, other cast include James Laurenson as the sleeping Teacher, Lauren Alexandra as the Mother of Ms Honey aka The Acrobat, Carl Spencer as The Father of Ms Honey aka The Escapologist, Katherine Kingsley as Younger Miss Trunchbull, Amber Adeyinka as Young Jenny Matt Henry as The Doctor, and James Dryden as Joe the School Inspector

Most of the children in the West end cast Were in the film as background but Andrei shep is Bruce and in the film is nigel!

it's part of the choreography! he says "she should take her hammer and S-H-U" but the U is made by the other kids singing "you". bruce covers his mouth bc he said something risky, they always do that!
