With stocked lakes for rainbows, and including one of the neatest features- 2 parcels in the neighboring Ticonderoga Ranch, which offers +/- 2 miles of the private Chavez Creek for live trout fishing! Recreation
The Mundy Ranch has been meticulously managed by the current owner for trophy quality elk and mule deer. 180-200 inch mule deer are quite common and if you don’t shoot the first mature bull elk you see, 300+ bulls are documented. Terrain consists of ponderosas, oak, aspens, Douglas Fir, and Blue Spruce. The solar powered mountain cabin- complete with indoor plumbing- is hidden and tucked back in the aspens, allowing for comfortable & cozy accommodations to wake up with the bulls and bucks. The cabin porch is ideal for enjoying your trout dinner, caught from one of your stocked ponds (total of 15), and being serenaded by the bugles of elk from your meadows. One would be hard pressed to decide just what location would be best for that Yellowstone dream home, but of all ranches, the Mundy Ranch would be the ideal location. Chavez Creek makes for an excellent small water river fishery, or try out that Sage Fly Rod on some monster rainbows in the stocked ponds.
Excellent road & stalking trail system extends throughout the ranch. The top half of the ranch is made up of aspen groves & meadows, while the bottom tier is graced with ponderosas, oak, and rolling hills. Views that rival any in Jackson Hole and trophy game that is unparalleled- both in trophy quality and quantity- the Mundy would be the one that you compare all others to….Trophy Rainbows, World Class Mule Deer, Mature Rocky Mountain Bull Elk ….
Location
The ranch is very accessible to the midwest, Texas, Colorado, and the southwest. Pagosa Springs Jet Airport is approximately 70-80 minutes away. Southern Colorado beauty, climate, and snow skiing - combined with New Mexico’s trophy game & land owner big game tags - makes the Mundy Ranch’s incredible history that much more of a rarity.
