The viola sound is a good combination of delicatesse and warm and brilliant sounds. It's so enjoyable to study and play it! Go for it!

Ann F Thank you! It’s a Max Millant 1950, purchased at Wilder and Davis 6 years ago! Have been playing it ever since.

@@Msgrenouille7 Beautiful sound. Is it as large as it looks?

@@annfrederking1878 16 and 3/4! I am always on the lookout for a smaller viola, but non of them compare to this buttery and generous sound. I have had Landolfi, Vuillaume and other fancy instruments on loan since, but I have always chosen to play my own, as the projection was always better!

Well, it sounds great. Play it while you are young enough, but keep your eyes (and ears) open for a smaller instrument. That's nearly as large as the East German Tertis model (Voigt) that was the first viola I owned. Trouble with mine was that it didn't have the quality of sound to go with the size.
