THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I always want to see how a unit functions with the slider *IN* and you did that! It may be inconvenient to have to go out and around, but at least it is do-able for those quick road stops and too-narrow sites. In my brother's rig *both* doors are bocked by the slides! I try to do it on every new RV and used where I can. Sometimes I just don't have the resources (time/battery power) to do it though.

Josh, Have you seen the newest 2608sb? First they changed the bathroom where you don't go through it to get to the bedroom, now they put in a bed slide instead of a closet slide.

Yes. It's basically the old front kitchen from the Signature line before the 8335 came along adding the extra seating and standard king bed. The 2608SB is a respectable layout, but the 8335BS is amazingly well executed. Overall in the Ultra series i think there are better models than the 2608

I know! Rockwood has been on fire for a while, but last year was a BIG year for them. So when I heard they were changing up decors and equipment trim levels I was a little gunshy. But... as always... you're a fool to doubt Rockwood. They're setting themselves apart more and more every year

Hi Josh, How’s the view of the TV from the swivel chair by the entrance door? Does the faucet get in the way? Can those chairs be replaced with theatre seats? Thanks, great video as always!!

The TV View is fine for me. I'm tall so maybe that helps. Regarding theater seating: No. See the video where the slide is closed to see why.

Rockwood was the first to start using inset front windshields (as is the case in this RV). Good question, though, as I technically did use incorrect phrasing.

Power stabilizers are available in the "Ultra" series, but auto leveling is a feature you'll find only in the Signature series.

Josh a question regarding any RV as I am still learning. When you give, or the mfr gives, the tongue weight, is that when the camper is empty or at gross max weight? Thanks.

Good question. It's empty/dry hitch weight.

Thanks Josh. That was my guess but I wanted verification. One more thing to think about for choosing a travel trailer. I will use the hitch weight as part of that equation. I told the wife before we buy we will road trip from NC to see you too. Her top 2 models so far is an Open Range and a Freedom Express you have videos on and a Grand Design locally. Ironically I cannot find squat on Grand Design construction in videos vs the others and that makes me leery.

*REGARDING TONGUE WEIGHT:* Proper weight distribution will usually transfer roughly 30% of the actual/loaded tongue weight back onto the axles of the camper. *REGARD GD CONSTRUCTION:* That's because they do nothing special from anyone else despite their claims. If you click the construction link on their page, then all you get is misleading insulation propaganda.

Yah I know between that insulation propaganda and lack of plant videos of builds, I am leery. Plus one thing I noticed on their front cap seals, they use a plastic curved insert (sorta like a bass boat's rub rail insert) only very easy to push in = water intrusion over time....in my opinion.

Good questions -- especially since the Ultras are creeping up on the Signatures in terms of some equipment! Signature and Windjammer have a 6'9" Wall with laminated vaulted ceiling Mini, Roof, and Ultra have a 6'6" Wall with laminated vaulted ceiling

Haylett RV thank you! I have been keeping my eye on the white hawk but for very close To the same money, these rockwoods are loaded. I know Jayco has double the warranty but is the build quality comparable on the rockwoods?

On paper the build of a white hawk and rockwood is nearly identical. They each do some neat things. White Hawk has a heavier insulation package, but like you said it's hard to find anyone that offers a better overall package vs. a Rockwood.

Haylett RV thanks for the info. My tow vehicle is a shorter wheel base 1/2 ton would the wide stance axles do better than the suspension on the rockwood for mitigating sway?

Chances are either would be fine. I would estimate the wide stance system would control sway a bit better, but I hear *excellent* feedback regarding towing from new Rockwood owners.

Looks nice, but I think a 26 foot unit should have a 80 inch bed. When you are over 6' tall this is useless

Remember during the video when I mentioned how the target for this model was under 30ft? Even the 6" longer bed would violate that. We have plenty of models with longer beds like a 281RLDS Freedom Express, but the RV is generally going to 32ft or so in total. Some folks have a hard target of "less than 30ft total." Each model is purpose built for different consumers like this.

I luv luv luv the new colors on the outside and the solid steps. FINALLY! Yay. Beautiful oven upgrade too. One of the nicest over all brands out there all things considered. Nice video Josh. Thanks. Now if we could just see the newest equivalent in the 2902WS I’d be a happy camper indeed!
