I was at the Auckland show which took place not long before this gig, the cannon they use that shoots confetti randomly went off when it wasnt supposed to pretty early in the set, we all briefly thought we would have to evaccuate the venue coz it sounded like it was about to explode, that and this and something must have happened in between to get this reaction out of Hayley

The pyrotechnics in the show are specifically for certain parts like during the only exception. The person in charge was either having problems with the tech or doing it on purpose which is dangerous, especially when if the stage isn’t set for the fire there could be a serious issue

These are “gerbs” a cold form of pyro really harmless. I’m not sure if the issue was off timing (which is not ok) or direction which can be affected by many factors. Maybe don’t use pyro if you’re that sensitive to the common issues. This is NOT equivalent to the Beyoncé technical fail which was actually someone NOT DOING THEIR JOB.

@@LorieLynnthey are in Australia so there's quite a few variables of things that don't work together. i do health and safety for performances (mostly theatre but sometimes live music as well), there have been issues with singers getting shocked due to using american equipment abroad etc.

You could get hit directly with it and be completely okay. The pyro went off like 30 seconds early which is an issue but they were not in danger in this situation.

I was at the show and the whole band was shocked they went off at the wrong time and if someone was in a different position, someone could’ve been seriously injured. Her job is privileged but it comes with the responsibility of being responsible for an entire crew being safe.
