Release clauses doesn’t mean the player automatically joins the club, Gyokeres has already said he won’t leave during January, Osimhen isn’t proven or that great hence no top clubs came in for him during the summer and he ended up in Turkey, Kudos has a high release clause and might be a slim possibility but going for him in January will probably impact on going after Isak during the summer! We need players who will significantly raise the bar therefore better to wait until the summer when splashing big money.

A striker should 100% not be happening this window there is no one available. Gyokeres is just not what people are claiming I have watched him and he is a Aston Villa or Tottenham level striker and will not do what he is doing in an awful elague. Gyokeres is not fast enough and is not good enough in tight areas and in low blocks. He will be 27 at the end of the season and has never played in a top 5 league. Ask the question of why no one wanted him before this and why every fan and every manager of all the elite clubs ignored him when he was playing on our doorsteps in the Championship??? I have watched him and he is nowhere near the level people think he is and that is not his fault. Isak is twice the player but injury prone if Gyokeres was worth even 50 million then Isak wouldnt be so much better than him. If Gyokeres is worth 80 milluion then Isak is worth 300 million. The truth is the striker market is horrific and we have to act in different ways. We need a midfielder who can run ahead of the ball and get into the box and make things happen in the final third. We have 4 midfielders who are all out and out defensive midfielders. We have no threat and no invention in those areas. We also have to cover Saka as we have no one who can play on the right naturally. If we can sign one elite CM and one elite right winger we will have enough. In the summer we then cover Odegaard and look at the striker market.
