Roy’s a man of conviction and integrity. He gave United 100% and Fergie ought to have praised him as a great captain and player rather than demonising him as a troublemaker.

Roy Keane feels betrayed by Sir Alex & in a way he is right, he should also add people like Ince & Nistelrooy to that list. But when you look at the bigger picture, he had to get some people out when they were passed their usefulness so the team could change to what was needed and that didn’t need to be pretty.

it hurts Keane that he listened too much to Ferguson when he came home from the world Cup fall out....he was all Manchester United!!!! when he should have been all about the Irish football team ...that's why Keane is so sore now ... ..

SAF had to make a statement and reassert his dominance in thr changing room. What more way to do so then Your club captain Keane? Sure it worked, SAF had success after. But feel he should apologise to Keane for being the sacrifced lamb for the stew

Roy's point is there is a certain way to do things.. of course players have to go and they never want to or know when it's time.. Roy means for not just him but other legends, it was a ruthless conniving way to do things..

I still remember the manner how andy cole and dwight yorke left. He even sold Stam. Yes he gained success after obtaining new players but thats not the way to offload your players who won a european trophy for you.

What exactly did Fergie do?
@captaindeadpool2655
@captaindeadpool2655 Жыл бұрын
@@mr_red13Used an interview of Roy criticising his teammates after losing 4-0 that the team was fine with btw, but Ferg used it as an excuse to rid of an important legend because they were clashing a little and Roy was injured and coming to the end of his career. Basically Ferguson made it a bitter end to a great career for Roy.

@@captaindeadpool2655if you read Fergie's book, there's more to it than that. Fergie had a rule that Man Utd don't criticise their players in public, it's all done behind closed doors. Keane disobeyed that with his MUTV interview by severely criticising several players after the 4-1 loss to Middlesbrough. It was irrelevant whether the players were fine with it. Fergie was the gaffer and he wasn't. When they all watched the video in Fergie's office, it erupted to a massive row between Keane, Fergie and the assistant manager, Carlos Queiroz. It was this row that made Fergie decide to get rid of Keane. He had become a disruptive influence and not respecting the manager's authority. This behaviour wasn't the first time with Keane. Look at his fall out with the Ireland manager Mick McCarthy in Saipan which has a lot of similarities.
@captaindeadpool2655

@@mikeypc3592 That's because Ireland wasn't given any good grounds to train on and the management was fine with it. First time for Ireland in a World Cup and they put in there with no proper equipment or facilities. Fergie wouldn't have gotten rid of Roy years prior if the same situation arisen.

It was the perfect excuse for Fergie to offload him. If it was Cantona, it would never have made the press, only years later at ex players circus road shows, simply put Fergie wouldn't have dared that with Eric, because Eric wasn't a threat to him, Fergie needed Gill and Carlos in his corner backing him as he recognised the same blinkered stubborness, unable to forgive any sleight, a ferocious holder of grudges and that privately scared him.
