In the actual scene, Candiace said she heard the rumors of Karen having a boyfriend from a SHE, that SHE being Charrisse, cause she first accused Karen of having a boyfriend on the season 2 reunion in 2017. Ashley, however, told it to Karen as if Candiace single handedly made up rumors of Karen dating other men, aka, MORE THAN 1 MAN, when that's not, AT ALL, what Candiace said. In that conversation, Ashley FIRST mentioned how she heard things about Karen dating people BEFORE Candiace even said what she said, so Ashley literally omitted her part in the discussion and twisted Candiace's part to rile Karen up.

Ashley conveyed the matter as if Candiace believed that Karen was stepping out Ray, but Candiace was just saying that the rumour was out there. The producers dropped that flashback, however they did not place Candiace's words in its proper context of what was being said minutes before. Had they also played what was said minutes before it would have made more sense.
