I am totally on Corey's side. Those kids need discipline! They can get away with it right now because they are kids but if they grow up thinking it's okay to hurt other people they will learn the hard way that there are consequenses. Like getting hit back or going to jail. I'd like to see Scott get like this with a judge in court once his little "P" gets in trouble all because of his negligence as a father.

Thats because there is a balance in Kims household. There is no balance when it comes to Kourt and Scott both are too soft and both spoil their kids. With Kim and Kanye theres atleast a balance of one parent being strict and the other parent being a bit softer. When people speak of "extreme" parenting they only ever speak about parents who are two strict when in reality extreme parents also include parents who allow they kids to do everything by not knowing how to discipline them

@@maridelatte6824 How can a “kid” beat the fuck out of an adult? The worse they can do is try to slap you once, probably because they have seen this behaviour on TV, at school or at home. It’s your job as a parent to teach them not to do that by NOT repeating the behaviour. Your are your kid’s most important and valuable role model. If they were a teenager, which in that case could potentially be hurtful and dangerous to me, then I’d make sure to protect and defend myself by restraining them. Afterwards, I’d be extremely curious to know where the aggressiveness is coming from. Only deeply wounded people, who have not learned the proper skills and tools to channel their pain and anger in a healthy way, will resort to violence when feeling triggered. I’d be concerned with my child’s safety and emotional/psychological health and would want to help them heal.

@@stefania_gouinI'm sorry, but I'm curious. If your child deliberately slaps you across the face, what do you feel is appropriate action to take? A time-out? A stern talking to? I doubt that would work on kids that have never had an ounce of discipline. My daughter is well behaved, but has a friend who kicks her mom when she's upset and the mother doesn't react. My daughter tried that with me and got kicked back (not hard, obviously). Guess what? She never did it again because she realized first hand that it's not good to hurt others.

ShN Fatehah That’s so untrue. My parents have NEVER laid a hand on me and I see myself as a good person. If you need to use violence to discipline your kid, then you’re failing as a parent. It’s never okay to hit someone no matter what their age is. Spanking is harmful to children as it can lead to increased aggression, physical injury, metal health problems, lower intellectual achievements, diminished moral internalization and antisocial behavior. I agree that kids need discipline, but spanking a kid simply isn’t a good option. Take a talk with your kid, use a firm voice to explain why what they did was wrong. If they don’t seem to understand. Give them a consequence like, taking their toys away etc. You could also give them time out, and reinforce any positive behavior they have. I could go on, but I think you got it. Using physical harm to discipline usually gives a poor relationship between you and your kid. And parents that don’t use abuse to discipline usually have a way better relationship with their kids.

I don't see why you consider it so surprising honestly. A child's moral psychology at that age isn't very well developed. Theoretically (I'm basing this off of Lawrence Kohlberg's Stages of Moral Development), children at that age are mainly in the Pre-conventional Reward and Punishment stage (stage 1). They wouldn't know any better than "what's in it for me?" But of course, to prevent this behaviour from developing any further, appropriate disciplinary measures need to be imposed to effectively correct misconduct. My point is that though this behaviour in children mustn't be tolerated, you shouldn't seem too unforgiving of it.

It's not really how they interpret discipline that's the problem, it's the fact that he implied "spanking" another persons child right in front of them. I was hit as a kid as a form of punishment and it worked for me, but to say to a parent that u would physically hit their child as a punishment is just stupid. Of course they'd be upset, their parents it's their job to protect their kids. Corey could have just said " maybe u should try spanking or slapping her wrists" instead of insinuating that if she were to scratch him that he'd discipline her himself.

I am born in Scandinavia and this type of discipline is not legal here. And actually, in studies, physical punishment is not the way to go. I would argue that "trauma" is exactly the reason kids listen and behave. They try something, face consequences, and never do it again. If my parents yelled at me for doing something I shouldn't have, I didn't do it again because I was afraid of being yelled at... trauma.
