My mother abandoned me and 3 siblings when we were kids, i'm just on the verge of being diagnosed with a terminal illness, and when i was a child my mother told me that i was born with a life threatening illness, so we've had to go back through my medical records, there is no record of what she said, liar strikes again.

No matter how many days old, if a baby is abandoned or separated from it's mother, there's a silent trauma within them that we cannot understand. In Edie there's a deeply sad part of him. Like in most people he gravitated towards an older lady - and surprisingly, he became happy and settled. That trauma possibly plays a role in why he couldn't get himself to want a baby. Yet he's okay with Tamra's kids.

Secondly if you think, as it doesn’t align with our current understanding of science then it must be fake then that’s ridiculous. Science is still to discover and substantiate many a phenomena in this universe. We are infantile. Based on our time on Earth we’ve only recently worked out there are organisms we can’t see that make us sick. I’m sure there was a point in time where it was absurd to think that if you put a clunk of plastic to your ear with numbers on it, you’ll be able to talk to someone on the other side of the country but here we are with our smartphones with live video conferencing to boot.
