This is what I feel was missing from a lot of the OW2 era characters (not all). This actually builds upon pre-existing lore and themes and moves the story forward. It doesn't feel like "Oh, I forgot to tell you Mei has a niece from space and Hanzo and Genji went to school with a superhero. By the way, Machu Pichu was actually Wakanda and now it's Atlantis." It feels like "The premise of Overwatch lightheartedly tackles the question of 'What if Superheroes and Villains were enlisted into assymetric war?' With different powers, ideologies and backgrounds, they react very differently. So, how about this perspective: what does a veteran and victim of this war do if Overwatch witholds Moira's "unethical" when it can save his life from torment?

Well, the niece thing wasn't really, "Oh, I forgot". It's Mei's friend's daughter. And in Asia, and many other countries outside of Asia, you would call older women your aunt. And I'm pretty sure Mei use to have a voice line regarding Juno's mom on Lijiang Tower, at least she did in OW1.

I am so happy this character isn't simply a condensation of every tired Scottish stereotype (alcoholic, "freedom", clans and castles, accentfunny). They got an actual Scotsman to play a modern Scottish character who speaks the proper dialect. The voice is so authentic that he sounds like he could be my neighbour. I am very excited.

@syphexlol Suzy is an omnic with a huge septum piercing and rose tattoos, and she doesn't have the lame stereotypical body type. Boomslang is a woman of color who has many piercings, dreadlocks, toxic tubes going in and out of her legs, and is named after one of the most deadly snakes. Hazard, originally, looked basic at some moments and like a humanized Chesnaught at others. His design has grown on me in the day since his reveal, but I still think he looks a little too clean. I would've liked to see him with a mohawk, and maybe some more piercings. Additionally, his weapon blends into him very much. The only other characters with weapons that are part of them are Doomfist, Orisa, Echo, Bastion, Lifeweaver, and Moira. Of these, they either don't have much of a weapon (LW, Moira, Echo), or it's visible enough (DF, Bastion, Orisa). Hazard has a good weapon, but it blends into his jacket a lot unless he spreads his arms out. Some color detailing would've helped. This isn't an argument BTW, I'm just pointing stuff out that I've noticed.

@@crimsonkarma13 its likely that ramattra transforming is unique to him, he uses nanites which do that just like with his staff and vortex, we have however seen other omnics that are his model (R-7000) in the origins videos and in his story intro we are show others too. this one has the same design as them so it is likely they are the same model. the base R-7000 probably cant transform but ramattra has modded himself to be able to.

It's funny now to know that he's more against Overwatch than Talon. Just the moment when Morrison (Soldier:76) was doing a speech after the incident that turned him being on an hospital, you can feel how angry he was. I thought for a moment that Tracer’s experimental jet flight caused his injuries and that would have been an insane event to have caused another hero to be born and imagine how their convos would have gone had that been the case! Would he be cool with it or blame her specifically? Would she feel guilty or find a kind of fellowship that they were both made from the same accident? That would have been cool but I am interested to see this storyline of injured soldiers turned freedom fighter by a system who sees people as numbers and found family tropes. Looks good Overwatch! Story wise that is, hope it continues being this engaging and hope he plays good too!

I also had this thought when watching it for the first time. It’s such a missed opportunity for connecting the character to previous history, but I also like how the actual story shows that Tracer’s accident wasn’t a one time occurrence; just one of the many, many disasters that forever changed everyday peoples’ lives.
