I've been running the volcanic pistols dual wilded lately and it makes killing players easy while using gunslingers choice. I don't know if it's the best pistols to be running as im still fairly new to the game, but they seem to be good against griefers. Not the fastest fire rate I know but those headshot hits melt people quick

The volcanic is the best pistol in the game when it comes to accuracy.. Because of the slow fire rate and reload speed you should concentrate on the headshots but it has also a white good range where Mauser and the semi one just don't hit anymore so it's good for longer distance

All you need to look out for when buying weapons is the accuracy, as in, the amount of time it takes to have its reticle reduced. Due to the one-shot mechanic on the head in this game every gun will one-shot on its max range if you hit the head. That's why the Varmint Rifle was OP before it was nerfed, you could one-hit anyone on huge distances because of its accuracy, damage is an irrelevant factor on the guns in this game. Your priority should be accuracy, then fire rate and then reload time which is why the Schofield (or Navy Revolver, haven't played in a while, dunno) is the best revolver, the Lancaster ist the best rifle and that's basically all you need to kill stuff.

With the camp weapon storage box, I have ditched every weapon off my saddle that I could except for my preferred list... these are lemat x2, varmint, mauser x2, Evan’s repeater, Lancaster, lever shotgun, carcano, and bolt action. Most of my action is pve so ammo amount is a little more important. I’m a shot gun junky in game as well as real life so occasionally I will add more to the saddle. Running paint it black with 2 sawed off, lever and pump on a bounty is fun.

I’m pretty fresh to the game still level 32 online, i think the only way to figure out what works best for you is to just try them all because they all have their little differences that can be the reason u favor it over another. Overall you should just always be going or headshots. Basically any gun is good if you work on target practice and always hit headshots… being patient between shots too letting the circle close in when aiming….

the volcanic pistol is really underrated. dual volcanic pistol with express ammo is a 2 body shot kill. I think the carbine repeater is better than the evans repeater. better damage, faster reload. better Bloom and damage over range

Most of the time I run dual Navy revolvers, Bolt and Repeating shotgun. You can quickly clear a lot of npc with the revolvers and switch to the shotgun. I like to run thru roadblocks with either one out, turn around and switch to the other for another pass. Either turn and pick off the remaining with the bolt or run back in and jump off the horse with the machete.

I usually go with dual mauzers[I know wrong spelling] Pump action shotgun and carcano. Sometimes I'll switch pump action with Evans repeater, it's not that strong, but I love the sound it makes in dead eye and the amount each clip carries

I run: Two navy revolvers soo i feel like a badass, Bolt action rifle for hunting, Lancaster repeater for those long distance nuisances, Varmit rifle for critters, Hunters hatchet because there is something so satisfying about getting close and personal. Oh and a whole lot of dynamite.

I run cattleman revolver, sawn off combo, carbine repeater, and bow. Sawn off always has incendiaries shells, express on the cattlemen as the accuracy is near max and fire rate is mental and fast reload. Express on the carbine same reason, and dynamite/fire/poison on my bow little of everything

I run a Springfield for hunting because when you dead eye a target you only get one X. I also vary between pistols. I find the sawed off the funnest to use. When I first got the Litchfield I felt like it was really weak but I feel like they buffed it some time ago so I usually run the litchfield. I will run the Evan’s repeater sometimes bounty hunting because it holds 26 bullets. I don’t think I could pick my favorite repeater.

I mainly use double LeMat with Slow and steady, gunslinger's choice, strange medicine and eye for an eye. Having 18 shots and walking up into a shootout with slow and steady on is so satisfying.

Bolt action > carcano bc you can adjust the scope. So much faster to hunt a whole herd of deer using bolt action w/o scope. Med Scope on a Lancaster is effective for the same reason

Duel LeMat's were nice at the time, but after they were released I upgraded to duel Navy Revolvers and that was a big accuracy and stopping power upgrade.

... Wtf are you talking about? Stopping power is at 2 damage higher than lemat... Lemat has 50, navy has 52... That's not a big upgrade, that's a very negligible upgrade, lmao. xD lemat has accuracy 68, navy has accuracy 72, that's a negligible upgrade of about 4 points. Make no mistake, these MINISCULE differences have no noticable effect on your gameplay. :P They DO have a significantly higher fire rate though... But that isn't necessarily what you want, given the recoil bloom just turns your accuracy into equally as sht as the LeMat's accuracy with recoil bloom. The recoil bloom on both guns shrinks are the EXACT SAME RATE... Which completely negates the relevance of the fire rate upgrade anyway, you could argue that when enemies get too close, that the fire rate comes in handy, but... The LeMat has a superior option for that with it's shotgun mode, so... :P They are, functionally, the same gun, statistic-wise. What this means, is that, due to the LeMat having 3 extra bullets per gun, AND a shotgun mode... Makes LeMat a direct UPGRADE of the Navy Revolvers. xD That's why the Navy Revolvers are cheaper than the LeMats and unlocked earlier than the LeMats, though they DID recently remove the rank restriction on certain guns. :P Anyways, to make the most out of the LeMats, you need to dual with a pair of them, and use the Gunslingers choice ability card (maxed out, of course). That turns the LeMat Accuracy into something STUPIDLY OP. :D

I tend to run a pistol/revolver set with a variety of long arms. I like to change it up mission to mission or between pvp and pve Pistols: semi auto and volcanic Revolvers: double action and lemat Shotguns: repeating and double barrel Rifles: bolt action, springfield, carcano Repeaters: lancaster and litchfield Bows: sometimes if i wanna stealth, but i usually use knives or tomahawks for that

I like how combat us genuinely different in red dead Than GTA, Every weapon feels different and Has its cons and pros, Unlike GTA where every gun class feels the same except for the guns design itself. However because its in modern times You genuinely feel like you could bring back any weapon from GTA, Into red dead online and completely dominate everyone
