There were a lot of people who were very upset by this episode - claiming that this romanticised SA and that Angel is poor representation of victims, but the thing about it is that abuse and assault can be internalised in so many different ways. My partner and I unfortunately both have past history with this kind of abuse. I didn't process my trauma anything even REMOTELY like Angel does, but when my partner saw this he felt so incredibly seen because he DID. Angel is his favourite character. This kind of representation can be tricky and hard to watch, but it's so important imo

Such a brutal scene, but yeah, I've seen a number of assault and abuse victims say that it made them feel seen and validated. Angel's dissociation and his whole hypersexual persona maintained just to survive...😭 Thank goodness he's now got Husk as a friend and the hotel as a safe place. The three great Angel Dust songs I know of are this one, "Addict" by Silva Hound (a fan song made into an official music video on the Vivziepop youtube channel, with the last verse after the credits) , and "Use Me Up" by PARANOID DJ. Charlie may be the star of the show but Angel seems to get the banger tunes :)

It seems interesting to state that during the song, we get to see the true essence of “Poison” and hearing the switch of Angel to Anthony at thru end of his voice breaking part. 😭

It breaks my heart. Those raw moments when we see his soul. As he loses control of his persona, the Angel Dust persona, and we can see Anthony under it all.

You should also check out addict music video. It’s another version of the song that could have gone in this spot instead of poison… also good.

When this song release on YT it was just bunch of text with simple graphics in the background (because of questionable motives) And don't get me wrong, the song is fire, but to see it in the show itself like you did brings out the full weight of the situation. Because you can clearly see the moments when his cover persona is failing and it hurts
