Deadlock needs better support for teams with leavers. Like, a spirit bonus (1/6th + a small "less map coverage" bonus) would go a long way to making games less shitty if someone rq's. Even if it wasn't intended to fully cover the missing player's income, like a 5% bonus would help keep other players in the game.

I've won a few 5V6 matches... we always seem to keep up with enemy team souls. Does it give you more or something if you drop a player?

theres nothing in the games coding that would give you more souls when someone leaves, but instead you're splitting the same amount of souls with 5 people instead of 6, meaning that those 5 people will get more on average. mathematically it works like: 4 people split 100 dollars between each other evenly, so each person gets 25 dollars. if it was 5 people splitting those same 100 dollars, each person would get 20 dollars instead

pretty useless tbh, MikaelS or any good player usually itemize depending on the game so I'd try to learn when to buy what instead because his choices of items this game were due to being a man down and on one flex slot for a lot of the game.

Use zip boost more often. Getting past the hoarder mindset let's you take more aggressive trades without losing lane outright. Also get healing rite for when you cant. I play dynamo so I don't need it but for most characters it's a good investment.

I feel like they gotta add another way to spend souls.. I’m finding more and more games I’ve reached the end of my build and I’m buying luxury items. I feel like they need to add a buyback system similar to Dota or possibly consumables.

I feel like buyback just wouldn't make sense in deadlock, there already an item that does that, it makes sense in dota cause the map is so big, things take way longer to grind, tp scrolls exist, and killing the "mid boss" in dota 2 only applies a buff to only one person to come back to life so there isn't an accessible way to come back to life in the form on an item for other people. Buyback makes sense in dota 2 cause it's a shortcut for a long game, deadlock already has plenty of shortcuts not to mention there technically already is a buy back as an item
