I got together with my ex in 2017 when you released your first album. We broke up a month ago. Thank you for being with us, and with me this whole journey. 4 years of life lessons and growing up. I'm different now at 27 than I was at 23. I have to figure me out on my own. Unfortunately the human experience is so full of this heartbreak and grief. But music connects us in those stories. So just thank you for your music being a part of that chapter of my life.

The best advice I ever got after my girl of eight years left me on Valentine’s Day last year was 1) never look back and 2) get a dog. It’s hard to not to get reminiscent of someone you spent a third of your life with. But the love my Aussie gives is far sweeter than that hose bag could ever dream of giving. He’s also got a far better taste in music.

@@feel.021 hey, I appreciate your perspective and your right to your opinion, but I don't believe in marriage and don't want to get married. We all have different beliefs. I'm glad we dated for 4 years instead of getting married right away cuz I would have realized I was married to someone who wasn't good for me. I hope nobody rushes into marriage because it is a very serious legal and financial contract.

I first heard Hazel English when I caught her set at Noise Pop’s 20th Street Block Party in SF back in 2016 and been a fan ever since. I wasn’t aware this new track came out a couple months ago, but I was sitting in a Japanese McDonald’s today (only place in my current city I can get a burger so beggars can’t be choosers) when this song came on. I immediately thought, “This sounds like Hazel English! Who is this???” Frantically downloaded Shazam before the song was over and lo and behold, it was indeed Hazel! Didn’t think a McDonald’s in a small city in Japan would be the one to inform me of a new Hazel track, but here we are. Thanks for consistently making dreamy music that gets me all wistful!
