5.56x45/2.23 Remington is about 62 grain while the 7.62x39 is 123 grain I believe. The m70 is about 2 lbs heavier than the m400 so the extra weight will help balance out the recoil. No need to be afraid of a rifle just go to a responsible range and have fun.

btw that red dot is in the right spot and isnt too high or too far foward, the rail raiser allows for a more upright line of view, and the sight should be as far foward on the reciever as you can have it without it being on the barrel so id say its good where it is

The romeo 5 on the sig rifle isn't too high, and it's in the correct place. The optic is actually a little low by today's standard. They come with an absolute cowitness mount, which is around 1.42" tall from the top of the rail to the center of the glass. A lower 1/3 cowitness would be more comfortable to shoot (around 1.57" high), but a 1.93" mount is becoming pretty standard today, with 2.32" and even taller mounts being used by some. If hayley sees this (doubtful, I'm aware), she shouldn't go any lower with the mount. It'll be extremely uncomfortable to shoot. You're making good money I'm sure, so try a scalarworks micro T2 mount in 1.57 or 1.93 with that romeo 5 red dot. The Fairfield optic on the ruger won't hold zero for a couple reasons. For one, it's a cheap red dot not meant for the kind of recoil any rifle bigger than a 22lr will produce. And two, it's mounted on the handguard (and she recognized its in the wrong place, but was just misguided as to why that's the case). Handguards aren't stable enough to mount optics. They can move, even ever so slightly, and that will shift the zero. Mounting an optic to the reciever is always best for l because the barrel and reciever are basically locked together and the reciever isn't going to shift or move like the handguard could. Long? (insert OF joke here) Yes. Educational? Also, yes

Generally red dot sights are positioned towards the end of the upper receiver, so you are not too far off. That way you have better situational awareness and target acquisition with both eyes open. It also allows room for a magnifier to be installed behind it. Higher power optics/scopes are installed towards the rear.

check the rules with the indoor shooting place, they might not permit you to film. I know the one that used to be around my area would not allow you on your cell phone in the shooting area. Also, you're welcome on the pushing and pulling technique. Also, the reason the red dot is too far up, is because you have it mounted on the handguard, and not on the actual upper receiver. The handguard is not a stable enough platform for a sight. You just need to move it back and inch or two so it stays completely on top of the upper receiver before the handgaurd/barrel starts. You don't actually want the red dot all the way back close to your eye, you want it mounted as far forward on the upper receiver as you can. If you're carrying a handgun outside of the home, I strongly suggest you purchase a quality holster and carry it on your person, not in your purse. Putting your gun in your purse means a purse snatcher gets a free gun. It's also putting your gun in the same place your money is at, so there's no way to distract someone robbing you in order to conceal your gun draw. I also recommend a smaller gun to conceal it easier, like the glock 43, sig p365, springfield hellcat, S&W M&P 9 shield plus, etc. That AK recoil is much less than a 12 gauge shotgun, you'll be fine.

Also good for mounting magnifiers, but most rifle doctrine I've seen is cheek weld as close to the rear sight as possible with non reciprocating charging handles. That's the way I learned anyway. I know the scout rifle mounts it's optic far forward for the reason you have, so it is practiced
