If course he will queue up, he only knows that. I feel the story of Magifelix proves what Azzap said in one of his shorts, which was that players like faker, regardless of how good they are were lucky to be put into the positions they were since in pro play even as 1 player in a team of 5 you dont have 20% impact since there is coaching staff and whatnot, and a lot of the time great talents were never discovered or given the chance to succeed because of this sad reality.
@wwekings95055 ай бұрын
Megifelix didn’t play in faker era as a in a pro gamer. It was way easier to carry the game alone during it and faker was a talent that was 5-6 year ahead of eveyone else. But faker didn’t even get a free ride to the team, faker had to earn it and was on the second team. Reason why megi couldn’t is cause now a day, everyone is pretty good at the game so teamwork mean more then anything right now since it almost impossible to carry alone. Also soloq talent 50% of the time doesn’t translate to being able to play as a pro

Networking is much more highly valued in the West, I think. If you're an affable person who is mediocre at what you do, you get much further in the west than in the results-oriented east, where talent is valued and nurtured... at least when it comes to a profession that doesn't require customer service, in that regard they require you to be extremely fake nice.

As someone who has lived in Turkey on and off for a total of 6 years and the rest of my 21 years in Sweden I can with certainty say that how Elwind viewed Magifelix was very unfair but also understandable. Turkey as a country is extremely social, sometimes even to a fault. Whereas Sweden as a country has a culture filled with very reserved and private lifestyle people. Even with how MagiFelix being "Antisocial" could be a reason into this, the Turkish people view the lifestyle of a Swede very off and weird, I'm not saying one culture is better than the other and I am certainly not trashing Turkey for their culture but when these two cultures mix in a space like this, it can get very awkward very fast. A great example of this is how Elwind points out how MagiFelix stands and walks, sure his movement can be very shy even for your regular Swede but for someone who lived their life entirely in Turkey, it looks very off to them. The part about him not eating and not mentioning he is hungry until he is asked is something MagiFelix should've one hundred percent worked on back then but also understandable in that current situation. Here you have a guy in an entirely new country with a completely different culture than what he is used to and is not aware of the social rules and norms, how to behave and/or talk. It can be very intimidating even if something as asking for food is an absolute necessity for a living being, working up the courage in that kind of situation can be very difficult. I don't think how Elwind described MagiFelix is fair but I one hundred percent understand how he see's him and can come to these conclusions because of how the culture there is. I hope that anyone that reads this does not take this piece and decides that Elwind is a bad person, I know about this guy only as much as the video has shown me but please do not go out of your way to hate on the guy and do not harass him either.
@18skeltor5 ай бұрын
The part where he called him antisocial was embarrassing... for Elwind. I'm hoping that it's a mis-translation, because in English antisocial is a common misnomer. Usually when people use that word they mean asocial, which is a lot different. Asocial means extremely introverted, Antisocial means misanthrope.

I can tell meeting with people like the random turkish player of 21:00 is one of the reasons Magifelix didn't succeed in proplay. If instead of judging him, seeing him as a weirdo or thinking he is crazy some teammate or coach helped him comunicating better and fitting in a pro team, i'm pretty sure he would have been a beast. Btw lot of the best League players look like "weirdos" and maybe bit antisocial. Faker, Caps, Keria... I don't think they look like a guy who spends the time lifting in the gym or going out to the clubs. Yes, they spend most of their time playing the videogame, thats why they are so fuckinh good at it, wow what a surprise. Imagine this mc chicken random Turkish player calling leBron a nerd cause he spends a lot of time in the afternoon practicing his dunks, or calling Messi a weirdo cause he doesn't go partying cause he is trainning his driblings and kicks. Saying something verbally is perceived differently than written word, even if they mean the same thing. @@EpicVideoMaster11 These words are in public view, they're posted to social media, are they not? Gameplay, okay, I've heard of people having problems with that before but in online games like League, there are 9 other people in a game who can view the replay from your perspective, thousands if it's streamed-- it's a little different than reuploading someone's Let's Play. AFAIK other than AI, only Skinwalkers can reproduce your voice, and the ethics of that are overshadowed by the terror you'd be feeling from witnessing it... so not a good comparison I guess. Like I said, it's a grey situation because everything the replicated voices are saying is words that the people replicated have used (as far as we know), but it definitely feels off. tl;dr magifelix is the goat
@geegee59705 ай бұрын
Elwind definitely didn't say it in a polite way and may have exaggerated due to his emotions but come on. It's extremely unlikely that someone who plays this much league, at this level, can be a well adjusted person irl. Hope to see the goat return

28:50 I noticed in the youthcrew clips in this video (yes, selection bias) in every game MF was ahead, like 3/0 when the team was 8/10 and that botlane was griefing.
