Read his book as part of a reading list in my metaphysics of sound classes. Omniscient he was, one true prophet. With our short attention deficit due to the overwhelming incessant bombarding of nonsense information/ disinformation, one has to come back to his/ her essence to be sound again ( In harmony) And what we call health, is everything sounding in harmony. Interdependence/ connection of all parts that constitute a being, We are the instrument that need fine tuning …Then ,all just Flows….

As a music lover I am always in awe of those who create music. I love to just sit and watch musicians play. To create sounds (music) that touches people's lives is an incredible gift. I applaud all musicians!

For anyone wishing to feel some beautiful writing about music and psychology, I highly recommend the book, The Mysticism of Sound and Music by Hazrat Inayat Khan. Whether you are an entertainer or educator or are simply looking for another way to express yourself to your students or your audience or yourself, this book is filled with beautiful language that will purify your default mode for as long as you can hold its message in the moment.

Few people know that Sufi Inayat Khan was descended from the royal family of Tipu Sultan, and that his daughter Princess Noor Inayat Khan, who had grown up with music, philosophy, Sufiism and love of literature [at home in England], was a lover of peace, and a pacifist. Later, during the first world war she enlisted to work as a British intelligence agent, and was brutally murdered by the Germans. One of her pseudonyms was Nora Baker.

I don’t know why we talk about royal families and royal entities!! We are all human beings and exceptionally royal. Royality doesn’t exist on a select few!! It’s the imagination of man! In nature around us, there is no royality - insects, animals, fish, birds ants etc. They are what they are. None us royal!!!!

Few understand what a profound mystery music really is. Also there is music and there is sound and they are different. There are musical sounds and healing sounds and music of many types as is obvious. Susanne Langer has written deeply on music and art and culture from many perspectives and is well worth reading. I have been a musician and studying music most of my life. She is a great and insightful thinker, much recommended 🌛 Remember: everything is vibration

Thank you for this melodious transmission! 🎶I'd first heard of Hazrat Inayat Khan through an Inayatiyya, Ayeda Husain, and her "The Sufi Tarot" card deck. Its guide book contains quotes by him and other Sufi Mystics, and the artwork carries the tune of stardust.🌟A lovely tool for inward reflection. 🪞

This recording is a great example of the Rudra vina: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2bXo4GpbLJmg7csi=34IE1bBBcL8f8N6K .The instrument held in the hands of Pir Inayat Khan in the picture is a Saraswati Vina.
