This was beautiful. 5 years ago. I hope over the past 5 years you have healed. Maybe found a new love, but most importantly, learned to love yourself. Hmm...it definitely changes the mood of the song, but I don't know if it changes the meaning. It's interesting how tempo conveys emotion, though. I sort of like that this song is versatile enough to sound both sad and happy. It's beautiful either way because the words still hold the same message.

Nolan was the doctor who had Sierra committed to the dollhouse against her will by locking her up in a psychiatric hospital and giving her meds that made her have psychotic episodes because he was mad she turned him down when he asked her out after commissioning her to paint him a giant bird scene or some such.... Sierra draws black birds in her doll state because she hates Nolan and the male doll Victor (who was a soldier before becoming a doll) takes her paintings to the dollhouse handlers and tells them she doesnt like that color and tries to throw away all of the black paint thinking the color makes her sad. Then the dollhouse tells Nolan hes a rapist kidnapper and he tells them he wants to keep Sierra forever so they give her back her memories and she goes and kills Nolan and then Topher and Boyd get rid of his body with acid. Hidtory repeats itself. In 2010 they hit my nailbox with a motorcycle and drugged me while I hae a sprained elbow and wrist in an arm sling on Independence Day weekend. Mail bomb. They posted pics of wtapped presents in mailboxes after it happened. And again. In 2017 a drunk soccer Manchester United fan drugged a shot of fireball I left on a nightstand for 4 minutes while I was outside talking on the phone with a acrambled egg (ironically but unrelated) And yet again. In 2023 an old man who was an acquaintance of my sisters dads friends came over and offered me a shot of Jose Cuervo gold tequila but it was actually like 5-7 doses of GHB and kept trying to get me to take another shot before I fell unconscious (which probably would have killed me). I woke up 12 hours later naked and covered head to foot like they cover dead bodies with a sheet. The first text Scot sent me after I told him Id been drugged and violated was "Come back. Sorry I meant to send that last night."
