The only reason why conferences like the SWAC, the ACC, the SEC and so on have conference championships is because their conferences have 10+ members who all have football programs. Since there's only about 17 wks of football, everyone must have a bye week and the number of allowed games played a season, plus they must play teams outside their conference so everyone in the conference can't play against one another by this format and this only exist in football. Plus this helps them to determine who plays who in Bowl game and what Bowl.

We do not need a MEAC Championship if Hampton and Savannah State would've stayed in the conference then we would need a MEAC Championship. What would be the point of having one? Who would host it? Must be a neutral site..I'm not saying we can't have one, we all know who really won the conference only they can't go... on probation and tie breakers are broken like it always has been. Sooo...We don't need a MEAC Championship..to determine who wins the conference

Eric Ford There’s definitely not enough teams to split the MEAC into two divisions, but it doesn’t have to be a neutral sight. The SWAC championship is hosted at the home of the team with the best record and that’s been Alcorn.

@@RodJVon so why does the SWAC even bother to have one other than they have 2 Divisions I understand that part ...but the MEAC doesn't need to play a extra game to determine it's champ and when it's a two way tie of course the team who won when they played gets it...that's true in all college sports so no the MEAC doesn't need a MEAC Championship

But I also think that most coaches and ADs will agree with me. The SWAC having a SWAC Championship isn't helping them win the Celebration Bowl

Let's talk about games and teams you should beat and not shoke. How can you ask for respect when you can't beat BCU. We drugged BCU up and down both ends of the field and y'all allowed BCU to beat y'all 5 straight yrs. I see the BCU wildcats don't respect the orange and green, y'all bow down to them so why should we respect y'all.
