Nice; I just bought one for my new Gen 2 Stribog that is on the way. Thank you for pointing out a nice upgrade.
@workthetrigger5 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. for the price and what it gives you, i'd say it's the best bang for the buck mod for the Stribog. some of the others are nice, like an ambi charging handle, but this one is a MUST.

If you purchased a Gen 1 Stribog with the reciprocating charging handle, you can cut 16mm off your bolt carrier and use this charging block. HB Industries provides a downloadable drawing on their site showing how to modify your Gen 1 bolt carrier. I did this to my Gen 1 and what a relief not to have the charging handle reciprocate. This charging block is awesome and I really like how it stays in place as you illustrate.

Great video, just finished doing mine. Mine is the newer Stribog without the reciprocating charge handle, but my bolt does not have that extra rod like yours that is right below the spring. Hope that is not a problem. Also I had to relocate the charge handle to the right side, as my flash light on the left side made it to difficult to pull the handle back. Could do it before, but it is like this HBI piece takes a little more effort to slide. But then it was not coated in thick lube like the stock plastic piece was you take out. Your video was spot on, especially since HBI does not include instructions.

Now that looks like a great mod! Don't own a Stribog yet but definitely thinking about it. Next gun will certainly be an 8ish in barreled 9mm of some sort. Thanks!

That block shown and what the link showing are two different blocks. The in the video is much shorter, that’s what I need. I ordered that block to use with a arms republic rail extension and it recommended this block listed in the description. It’s the same length as the stock block and will not allow the bolt to close.

I don't know...…...I think this whole set up needs more research . Maybe you ought to send that sucker to me for further evaluation . HAHAHA !! Very nice and a good add on !

I mean it really doesnt just slide on its own and you still have to push it all the way back forward.......I can see a use for it though

Mine won’t work with the folding charging handle.
@workthetrigger2 жыл бұрын
What's going on with it? Did you have a reciprocating charging handle version?
@8u2b2 жыл бұрын
@@workthetrigger 2nd generation non reciprocating handle. It won’t work with folding hbi charging handle. Not sure which one is out of spec.
@8u2b2 жыл бұрын
Spoke with HB Industries today. Some Stribogs are just a hair different in there measurements. They are sending out an updated version. I will let you know how it works. I’m pretty confident it will be fixed. I’m not the 1st person to experience this. They have addressed it and I respect them for that.

I don’t see the point of this part because once you pull the charging handle back to charge a round it goes back forward with the bolt & then it doesn’t move from the forward position. Even with this locking block you would still hit your hand if the handle was in the rear position when you release your bolt stop. I use my charging handle as a thumb rest so it can’t move once I’m ready to start shooting but I tested it to see if it would move without my thumb resting on it & it doesn’t on my SP9A1 Gen 2 model.
@workthetrigger2 жыл бұрын
There were quite a few times before this that, with the bolt locked back, the charging handle slid back to the bolt, and when releasing the bolt using the receiver mounted catch, it smacked me in the hand. Not a comfortable occurrence.

Maybe i need to sell my Extar EX9, but the Stribog doesn't take Glock mags?
@alew13725 жыл бұрын
Glad it doesn't. $23 Double feed magazines are better IMO. Mine functions great.

I don’t see the point? My bog charging handle does move around or anything
@workthetrigger3 жыл бұрын
Bolt locked back reloads, the charging handle will fall back as you too the gun, when you get your firing stance back and hit the bolt release, that's then the fun happens 🤣
@randomactsofriding48503 жыл бұрын
@@workthetrigger I’m going to have to test that thanks!

The hbi detent block is not accurate on the website, you have purchase the arms republic detent block you want to install the arm republic rail extension! Wowzers that is confusing
