God I miss the 70s SO MUCH! Greatest time in Earth history to be young. I wouldn't trade it for youth NOW. It was a privilege to be alive when real freedom and happiness were king!

It was also before MTV I’m gonna get a lot of flack for this but I really think MTV screwed up music because band started writing songs to fit the style of a music video you’ll notice that overall album creativity went down the toilet after MTV came out

Because of his sitcom fame, people forget what a great stand up comic Freddie Prinze was.. I prefer him doing stand up than playin his "Chico" character. Stand up is where he really shined. He was the whole package as a comic: charismatic, great stage presence, great delivery, nice empathy with the crowd and of course funny material. He could've clearly done this special by himself but he was generous to throw a bone to his comedy peers. The golden age of stand up was definitely in the '70s.

Freddie was undoubtedly one of the best to ever do stand up, his success would have never stopped but it was shorted much too soon by the evil pumped out through the pharmaceutical company’s at work and he never got the true help he needed, he will forever be one of my favorites even though he passed well before I was born!!

In 1985 I started working at this company in NYC called SERVICE MERCHANDISE and a co-worker, a beautiful African American sister by the name of THURSDAY, told me I looked like CHICO AND THE MAN, meaning Freddie Prinze. At the time I didn't know who Freddie was but looking at him and then looking at a pic of myself from the 1980s I totally agree with her. I admire him so much and I only wished I had known of him when I was growing up in Puerto Rico during the 1970s and his show was on. RIP Puerto Rican brother.

This was HBO. Most mainstream comedians weren’t doing explicit material on things like Midnight Special and the Tonight Show either. Plus, Freddie Prinze caught heat during that time too. Protests outside of NBC studios because of Chico and the Man. Several of his early club appearances were cancelled because of risqué material. Also, several of his contemporaries and mentors like David Brenner pushed him to clean up his act. Let’s not try to rewrite history here.

I can't believe he died so young. I can't believe he had a Puerto Rican mom because my mother was puerto rican and she had 2 Job raise 4 and would of never left him to take drugs. I had 3 and I was 💪 and non of my kids took drug because I would of kick butt. Even he was star I would of been with him.

Dude mentioned Rockefeller before anyone even knew the name. Wow just goes to show that truths have been acknowledged for a long time

@@tjduprey I wasn’t talking about the fact that it was a known name, I was talking about the fact that people have known that that family has been pulling strings across the globe for centuries.. c’mon now boomer

I have tons of respect for Freddie Prinze. He’s smart, he’s talented, he’s gorgeous, he’s the whole package. And at 21 years old! I wish he had lived to his full potential. Having said that, my gaydar is going off.

I tossed the idea around for awhile. I don’t think he was. I’ve watched a ton of videos and read everything I could find about his life and his tragic death and I’ve conclude his wife had a huge roll in this.

His wife huh? You don't suppose his wife was Ricky Martin or Bruno Mars do you? Naaahh... Peace. Check out Mitch Hedberg, Richard Jeni, John Pinette or D.L. Hughly for some other intelligent, great stuff. Sitting in sauna at gym as I type this, post 7 mile run. Listening to "Hayling" by FC Kahuna. Fade out....

@@Caracaraorangeberryyou sound like a bonehead. You called him gay then blamed his wife for his death despite him having known suicidal tendencies before they met.
