nah. the fact that he was killed really upped the emotional stakes of the show. it’s a much better show precisely because it was willing to go there. without that twist, the show would’ve been less memorable. and less enticing to watch. this was a straight-up GoT-style death. shocking and totally unexpected. just because you like a character doesn’t mean the narrative should change to keep them around. doing that would lower the stakes and the show would be worse off for that. this right here is great storytelling.
