We try to beat CHIMPS with only Dart Monkeys. Then only Boomerangs, etc. We do this with every monkey to see what ones can beat CHIMPS all on their own. And those that can't we see how far they can get before losing.

I would increase the starting cash and round. It would take until the middle of round 15 to get $2,700 dollars (assuming you popped everything without placing towers😂) so start the super monkey on round 15 with $2,700 as an example.

Very cool, just a few things of note, towers that get stopped cuz of camo bloons can progress slightly further on scrapyard and the cool thing I learned a while ago was the the fireball CAN pop purple bloons BUT ONLY with the explosion, not the projectile

It's gonna be impossible since the fireball fires too slowly to hit all of them, even if you take advantage of loops. Maybe it's possible with TAS-like gameplay?

The problem with sniper only is that only 100 and 040 give lead pops, and you need middle path to pop camo. So bottom path snipers can’t pop DDTs on their own. Maybe they can still beat chimps with 420 or 042 spam!

the problem with 420 spam is that it’s obviously much worse then a 402 for everything but ddts meaning you would probably not be able to even get to 95 and 042 your wasting money on its supply crate and it probably couldn’t handle moabs well

Most would die on round 101 honestly. And if not 101 then 103. DDTs spawn like crazy after round 100 and the RBE on 103 alone is typically enough to pierce cap the towers.

In BTD5, you can force turrets to spawn on the track or water. I don't know if it helps, but it sometimes does, even when there's space for them not in water or on the track.

I actually remember attempting to beat logs chimps with only subs, they have a small enough hit box that you can place 5, I used all tier 5 + 2 0-2-4 subs and beat the challenge, though that was a long time ago so idk if it still works

The funny thing is that every tower is affordable in chimps as a starting tower in a real game except the Super Monkey, you just have to use co-op and have everyone give there money to the same player and you will have more than 650 with 4 players giving you the most with every tower except the farm and village being affordable with 2 players with the farm and village requiring 3 players to be able to start with them. This even means that (for a real game) there are some 2TC combos only possible in co-op, as well as making some 1 player 2TC that are barely not possible because of money possible if you give ALL OF THE MONEY to the player who needs it. Thow even with 4 players you still can’t start with a Super Monkey

Ive been playing BTDB2 with only water based towers (except pirates...) and spikefactory as a tribute to Admiral Brickell, and I discovered a lot of cool things about buccaneer first of all: 5-0-2 isnt that bad if the track is long and it planes can pop DDTs without MIB or other resources, second: trade empire+favored trades+carrier flaghship can handle DDTs quite good even without my other usuall dmg resources unfortunately the fire power of water based strat require space & positinating, 5xfavored trades+trade empire+carrier flaghship cannot handle 95 in that map thanks to the space.

You could probably get past the camos/leads/purples/etc. with the Scrapyard crusher. Also, why are you getting 042 Snipers on CHIMPS? I can understand the Elite Sniper for the buff, but you could've just gotten an army of 230 Snipers that would be WAY more effective on DDTs.

With the variety and awesome powers and weapons. I wish so much they would've made a Bloons shooter like Garden Warfare or even a TF2 clone. Would've been super awesome to have two systems. You start at level 1 and you can either buy your upgrades "upgrades that are equipment" or by experience "upgrades that are inherent like magic or physical". A level system like in DoTa that leveling isn't individual but for every game.

I was able to do sniper only chimps. The trick was spamming 230 snipers and 204 snipers with a single 420 sniper. I skipped out on the cripple moab since it is still laughably bad in chimps even after the buffs.

Crossbow monkey my beloved Sad that Druid couldn't get past the camo, though. Recently started fresh on a new install and didn't feel like linking my main account, and while trying to brute force an impoppable attempt before i had most upgrades unlocked, i was very pleasantly surprised by how well the druid was able to dispatch bloons. You can't have a regrow farm if you can just oneshot the higher tier bloons lmfao

What makes bottom crosspath better than top crosspath for middle path sniper? Is the increased attack speed really enough to outpace the increased layer damage of the top path?

It is mostly about the reliability. Popping more layers is stronger (3.5x damage vs 2.5x aspd), but the damage of shrapnels is only double, and shots might get wasted on smaller bloons. But for sniper, both cross paths are balanced for all 3 versions.

Very good, but if you don’t get any other methods of camo detection the DDT’s in round 90-100 can be a problem, since they move so quickly. On a track that loops that’ll be less of a problem.

With Sniper, 95 absolutely is the hardest round, but with a Cripple and a Maim (with camo prioritization, different targeting priorities to stun different DDTs), you can actually win the round. After that, 98's fairly tough but you can get another main/more bouncing bullets (don't bother with Supply Drop, it's a waste of money; bottom path sniper is also helpless against DDTs, so after Elite Defender I wouldn't bother with those either) to clear out the rest of the game.

It targets "strong" until bloons pass 3/4 of the track, upon which it will target "first" until there are no more bloons past 3/4 of the track, then switch back to "strong" targeting again.

If you think the x-5-x sniper is good for anything other than its atkboost and targeting in chimps, you must be mental :D x-4-x are a waste of money... 4-2-0 for ddts 4-0-2 for everything else and a bit of dps with the bottom path. I do not have the time to try this ingame, but I am fairly certain that it should be able to beat chimps on long tracks.

why for the boomerang monkey, you do it on ravine and use the sword to pop the camo on round 24 so that means you would die on round 33 (correct me if I’m wrong) or the crusher in scapyard which would probably get off cooldown to get a bit of round 33 but probably wouldn’t get all of the bloons
