I believe that the face sculpt is modelled on Mary McDonald-Lewis, the original voice actress for Lady Jaye. I think that's a cool tribute.

The explosive head can fit directly in the gun muzzle without using the javelin. Not sure if that was intentional. I didn’t know it could fit in the backpack, “and now I know.”

@@SEEshadow I don't think the head is new either , looks like they just painted it to look closer to the 3.75" so brighter skin tone and red lipstick and light green uniform. does look like the back pack is changed to look like the OG one so she may come with the hand held camcorder (no accessories have been shown yet for any figure)

The camera on the backpack I think is the best part. It's so much better than the camcorder ha ha. The wig grows on me ha ha. I really like the details of this figure. Storage for accessories is always good. Of course, I had to get Flint to go with her. He's done really well too.

I like how it is a way to be involved in a current GI Joe product line, while still having the bedrock of the vintage reviews. HCC788's wealth of familiarity with the vintage line is also valuable for comparison purposes with modern GI Joe product. It just gives a deeper perspective overall.

Built into the shields are degrees of expertise where x/4. The more full/complete/adorned the icon shield, the greater the degree of expertise. Hey H.C.C. I plan on having a custom Parachutist Badge decal made denoting all of L.J.'s combat jumps. In researching the Parachutist Badge I realized that L.J. (along with Flint and Duke because they have Jump Wings too,) only have the basic Jump Wings. Being that the JOEs are the equivalent of a Tier 1 Special Operations team I realized that before the joining the JOE team that Duke, Flint, and Lady Jaye would at least have a Master Parachutist Badge with some combat jumps. So I decided to go through all of the JOE media and count how many combat jumps the JOEs have. When I've completed this tedious task I'm going to have a custom Master Parachutist Badge decal for L. J.'s cap that denotes her combat jumps. So far these are the JOEs that I have completing combat jumps. Sunbow Phantom Brigade Duke, G.H., Airborne, Ripcord Money to Burn Flint, Roadblock Ripcord (ejected from Skystriker) Alpine and Spirit* assuming they parachuted with Flint and R.B. Operation Mind Menace Duke and Airborne (don't know where they jumped from.) The Gamesmaster Scarlett and G.H. Spell Of The Siren L.J. The 3 3/4 joes never had a "hot" looking female figure, to my recollection. Thank goodness. I can admit that I would have spent too much time with that once puberty hit me.

I am a hardcore GI Joe fan, I still collect the original ARAH figures. I do appreciate these updated figures, but I just can’t see myself collecting them. I do really like the Viper figures, they look nice. And this Lady Jaye is a nice update, but something about her face doesn’t work for me. When it comes to Lady Jaye, I think of the Sunbow cartoon. And she had a pretty face, but this head sculpt doesn’t do it for me. Still a nice figure!

Wish they would just continue with the 95 line . Same size .new figures. When was the last time we got an new original figure design? We missed out on g.i joe in the millennium ! Nasa and joe could of teamed up and gave us some cool new figures and playsets ! Tired of these. Just continue the line . I have never or will never pay 55 bucks for a toy that costs 5 bucks to make .

Never understood why Jaye carried a harpoon gun. Joes hunting whales now? Yeah I get it’s supposed to be a javelin, but who throws javelins around in the military? I do love the spaces in her ruck though. Very nice touch.

Thankfully, in the Marvel comic books, Lady Jaye was more likely to use firearms or other conventional weapons when it was time to fight.

Excellent review. Lady Jaye was my favorite 84-85 character, but TBH, the action figure was a disappointment. This is the Lady Jaye I wanted.
