That tip about drawing a smaller circle as the loop guide on the backer is pure genius. You are right about Dollar Tree-very unique ribbons, tinsel, and I saw even the tubing! It came out SO perfect. I seen the frozen pizza cardboard boxes being used so I'm guessing there's a THICKNESS (GAUGE) THAT MAKES THE PERFECT BACKER BOARD. CEREAL BOXES FROZEN FOOD BOXES how about poster board? For those of us who don't eat (CAN'T 😭) certain process foods or dairy....

@@TheRealAmythyst yes! they work perfectly!! I save them and cut my own a lot. my husband used to bring them home from work too. I love those ribbon spool ends the best though, already in the shape I need so no cutting necessary. I think poster board would be too thin unless it was small and lightweight it could probably work. I hear you! I recently gave up sugar and carbs. really only eating meat and feel so much better!!

I used the ribbon spool for the backer loop guide, but heavy card stock junk mail for my backers!
