As for your second question the first man was calling people toward prayer which in itself is a miracle. Where else would 2 million people gather peacefully and calmly without the need of violence or chaos. Also the second man was leading the congregation by reciting segments and extracts from his holy book the Quran. Satisfied?

From what I have learned, the "Yaa" and "Baniii" is the same "madd" or lengthening... called "madd jaaiz" meaning you have an option to lengthen it (1 or 4 harakaat) And "Israaaeel" is a different one, called "madd waajib"... compulsory to lengthen it (4 harakaat) Allahu Al'amu

Jazakallah, Ok the first part is understandable but as you said in the second part, 'And "Israaaeel" is a different one, called "madd waajib"... compulsory to lengthen it (4 harakaat)' Sheikh Ghamdi and sometimes other Imams shorten the 'Israeeeel' they need to be careful In Sha Allah :)

Admin can you please help me in a problem I observed. Some of the Imams when they read the verses such as 'Yaa Baniii Israa Eelaa' They do it short, it is supposed to be 1 second for Yaa, 3 seconds for Banii, 4 seconds for Israa, and 1 second for Eeela. The long and short rule are important and part of Tajweed and Tarteel. May Allah guide us all in reading Quran properly :)
